| '90 Audi 90 - No heater valve? | 30 Dec 2004 16:14 GMT | 4 |
Does anyone know if my Audi 90 should have a heater valve? I can't see that it does. If so where is it located? I've followed the heater hose to the firewall and there is no valve on the hose. Is this correct? Or am I looking in the wrong area? I replaced one in my Audi 100 so I ...

| Question: Door locks in 97 A6 | 29 Dec 2004 01:44 GMT | 1 |
The driver's side indoor latch stops working in the cold weather. The outside handle opens the door but one has to put the window down and reach out to open the door from inside the car. The inside latch is freely moving on its pinion point with no resistance. All the vacuum ...

| A4 tyres | 28 Dec 2004 17:43 GMT | 46 |
I have a 2001 A4 1.9TDi (the 130 engine), currently fitted with 205/55 tyres. According to my calculations, I should be able to fit 225/50 tyres on the 16" alloys without affecting the circumference - I probably have around 5,000 miles left on the existing tyres.

| A4TDi Everlasting Oil? | 27 Dec 2004 18:15 GMT | 2 |
I posted a while back about my concerns following the initial "long life" service of my wife's UK-based A4. After the oil change and just 20miles, the oil was as black as before and there was more of it. I've now been back to the garage and insisted that they again change the

| New (to me) Audi S8 | 27 Dec 2004 17:28 GMT | 3 |
Well, I was asking about Audi A6s, which I fully intended to lease or buy. But then, I have been watching an S-8 gather dust on my dealer's lot for many months. After driving the new 2005 A6 in both engine configurations, I decided to drive the S-8 again (I had driven it several ...

| 2001 change timing belt or not? | 27 Dec 2004 17:18 GMT | 17 |
Do you guys still recommend changing the timing belt at 60K miles. My car is a 2001 A4 with 83K miles on it, driven by a girl with care, and serviced at very regular intervals. Should I still change the timing belt now or let it past 100K? as it is a 2001 is it still falling

| GSM mic with Nokia handsfree? | 26 Dec 2004 11:48 GMT | 1 |
I have a Nokia CK-1W Bluetooth handsfree kit in my 2001 A4, which is integrated with the audio system (after-market Sony setup). I noticed there's a mic fitted to the lighting unit, presumably for the GSM option (which wasn't fitted to my A4). Anyone know where the other end of ...

| 1999 Audi A4 1.8 Q Tiptronic problem | 24 Dec 2004 16:52 GMT | 2 |
When I put the shifter knob over into the manual position, nothing happens, the display remains the same and it still acts like an automatic. I've also developed a high pitch whine, almost like a jet plane. Could the two be related and is this an easy fix?
