98 A4 Fuel Gage intermittant20 Jul 2005 18:35 GMT5
The Fuel Gage on my '98 A4 V6 has started to work only intermittantly.
Any one else have a similar problem.  Is the problem likely to be the
"sender" in the tank?  or possibly a wiring problem?  It works briefly
on and off when the car is started and then only works very
Aftermarket parts20 Jul 2005 10:30 GMT1
Looking for opinions on these aftermarket brands:  SKF, Febi, Ruville. Hepu,
Annex, Continental.
For the major t-belt/water pump service, are they trustable or are we better
of sticking with stuff straight from the dealer?  The car is the Audi 90 2.8

Someone in an earlier message referred to the "archives" for this
group. Where would I find them.  I am looking for (among other things)
the OBD codes and how to access them from the air conditoiining system
controls and the display...
94 Audi 90 CS - failed emission test - Cat Converter?19 Jul 2005 23:36 GMT5
I recently purchased a 1994 Audi 90 CS with 181000 miles (probably my
first mistake).
Anyway, it failed the emission test in Ohio with very high NOx
readings.  CO and HC were in very acceptable ranges.  I was told it is
Audi A4 TDi - General19 Jul 2005 18:36 GMT1
I have recently purchased a Audi TDi 1.9 and I am very happy with it
despite the high mileage 365000 km  (230,000miles) as it drives very
well and has always been maintained by the same Audi dealer since new.
The next service requires the timing belt to be changed and will be
oil leak and clunking on bumpy roads19 Jul 2005 18:15 GMT1
Recently I have noticed a small amount of oil being 'sprayed' or blown by the
fan near to the oil cooler onto the underside covers of my 1999 1.9 TDI A6. I
cleaned up the oil and put in some Wynns stop leak - 150 mile journey later
no leak. Got back from journey and the oil leak is ...
89 audi 100, fan problems19 Jul 2005 13:36 GMT14
Ok, My 89 audi is having some probelms. I think it was yesterday, i
pulled into my driveway after work and noticed the fan, the one right
behind the radiator, wasn't stopping. I figured that it would stop
within 5-10 minutes. I came back out 15 minutes later and the fan was
Wheel Bearing Noise ? Audi 10019 Jul 2005 13:30 GMT4
I have a '91 Audi 100 non-Q 4 spd automatic
Over the last 3 - 4 months I've noticed a sound as though  I'm driving with
snow tires on (which I am not). The car has around 145,00 miles on it. The
sound seems to be related to wheel speed and it's not really loud like I've
A4 3.0 Tiptronic17 Jul 2005 17:40 GMT1
Hey all..
I'm looking for opinions on A4 3.0 tiptronics/multitronics.
An early 2002 model will set me back €35000 ($44300) which
is a lot of money to me so I'd like to hear from owners first.
a4: Inner door handle got loose!16 Jul 2005 21:25 GMT3
2000 a4 quat.
Just yesterday the driver's inner door handle got loose.
It still works fine, but it sort of hangs down a 1/4 inch, and while it
retracts after pulling on it, it doesn't snap firmly into place.
A4 2.4 V6 Cambelt +16 Jul 2005 19:42 GMT3
well, it's just been replaced at 61k miles. I ended up with 3 quotes, all
very close at £600. (Audi dealership, a VWAudi specialist and a general
repair garage) All quoting using original Audi parts.
8 items were to be replaced.

I had some recent work done on my '92 100CS, and upon my return to the shop,

activating intermitently.  He was right, but now it comes on with every
engine start and will stay lit for approximately 2 minutes, ...
3.2 A4, manual trans in USA?14 Jul 2005 21:23 GMT4
I test drove a 3.2L A4 recently and found the tiptronic trans to be
very sluggish, especially in manual mode, where it took a full second
or more to complete a shift.
So, is there any chance the 3.2 V6 will show up in an A4 Avant in the
