The ESP Indicator Light comes on and stays on when I'm at highway sppeds for
an extended period of time.   I've taken the matter to Audi but their techs
can't figure the problem out.  Anyone else ever see this before?
My car is a 2002 A4 3.0 with 6 spped manual transmission.

just got this 93 Audi 90 and discovered a LOT of water on the floors. Got any

Just got my new 5 1/2 A4 with the 3.2 and want to change the stock
filter for a K&N. Can't seem to figure out how to get the filter box
open though...undid two phillips screws but couldn't really get much
further...any ideas?

I was told by a repair shop guy in Ohio (not an Audi dealer) that you
should always let a turbocharged engine like the 1.8 used in Audi A4s
idle for at least 30 - 45 seconds before switching it off. That way,
he claimed, oil will get to the turbo while it spins down from high

Hey guys, Newbie here. Biiigggg newbie... got a question regarding a VW
engine... I'm thinking of swapping in a VW TDI engine into my '89
Hyundai Excel... is this even feasible? What would it cost, and what
engine would you guys recommend? Thanks in advance.

1. My climate control system cuts out at least 3 times an hour only for
about 30 seconds. Then it comes back on and fiires up. Anyone ever hear of
this?

got an A4 1.9 TDi SE 130  2001
on friday climate control stopped working. worked in the morning stopped in
the afternoon.
had the system checked and regassed but nothing - it now has to go in this

We are trying to remove the old transmission but the bellhousing hits the
welded crossbar behind the motor and there is not enough give to force it
by.  Is there an easy way to get the transmission out?  We have tried
turning the tranny every way possible - no luck.  Appreciate any ...

I have noticed the coolant-level light flashing on my dashboard
recently. The coolant reservoir is leaking, and needs frequent top-ups.
My mechanic replaced the reservoir cap, to no avail. A pressure-test
did not reveal any leaks in connecting hoses.

I decided to not replace the CV joint boots since I couldn't find the
slipover type except from England and by the time I got 'em here they'd
cost nearly as much as the entire axle/joint assembly, not to mention the
time delay. Plus many have been dissatisfied with this repair.

In a break from the seriousness of malfunctioning and flammable wiring,
model years and assorted SPAM, you should really check out auction number
7993916387 on eBay - the winning bidder may save his $36 bid (+$10 shipping)
on gas with the "device", or end up as a hood ornament for a ...

Any gotchas ?

Does anyone know how to reset the engine immobilizer for a 2001 A4 1.8T
without having to call a dealer?
I sent my instrument cluster in for repair (the missing pixels problem)
and now that I have put it back into the car the engine immobilizer
