This morning was the coldest of the winter so far after a
moderate ice storm over the weekend.  Driving my 2001 S4
to work I noticed occasional power loss.  Keeping a
constant pressure on the gas I would feel occasional slight

I have a 2000 A6 2.8 quattro that after sitting for a week or two and
having the temperature change by 20 or more degrees F will not start.
I cannot get it started until I disconnect the battery and wait a few
minutes.

How do you rate the quality of a modern Audi compared with a modern BMW
(that's interior/exterior finish, engine, gearbox)? Comparable, better? I'm
thinking specifically of the A3 and A4 here, so whether they are different
quality to the A6s A8s?

I have a 86 audi 4000s and I need to replace the front wheel bearing badly,
can anyone give me clues?

Got a problem with our Audi 100 2.2 from 1985 - the last few days it's been
dropping a whole load of coolant; it doesn't seem to be from the reservoir
or any of the hoses connected with this, and the amount of coolant and the

Hello folks.  I need a new water pump for my 1998 Audi A4 (V6, 2.8
liter, 06/98 manufacture date).  It has 84,000 miles on it.  I was
referred to a mechanic who specializes in Audis.  Here is the repair
estimate that he provided:

i am having problems with my passenger window sometimes it works ok and then
sometimes it only comes part way up and shoots back down. to get the window
fully up i have to do it gradually a couple of inches at a time but like i
say sometimes its ok.

3 times now my car has just died.  The engine just stops.  All 3 times
I was slowing down to 5-15mph to take a turn.
I did just add MOA oil and BG44K gas treaments.
I also cleaned out my mass airflow sensor by spraying it with 90%

Going on a long vacation.  How long can my 2003 A6Q Avant just sit without
being started?  It'll be garaged but the garage is not heated.  I live in
New York and I suspect that we might have below freezing temperatures during
my absence.  I was surprised that the owners manual ...

The battery died on my 96 2.0 petrol yesterday and as I tried to jump it
the sunroof opened. I replaced the battery and everything else works but
the sunroof is still open! Tried the manual but its stiff and don't want
to risk damaging it. Any ideas?

This is about an Audi 6 build in 2000.
When it has been dry for a couple of days, the electric window on the drivers
side isn't closing anymore (only half way), due to too much friction.
In rainy conditions no trouble at all.
