Rainy day, nothing to do, so I went to look at some cars.  Visited my
Audi dealer (nice S8 for $105K), Lexus to see the IS-F (pretty
impressive looking/performing machine).  Then I visited my local
Nissan dealership.

I am buying an RS4 this summer - probably an 07 plate with low
mileage. I dont know much about the cars in terms of the options on

Audi A6 2000 engine won'e start!22 Apr 2008 18:10 GMT13
Bought a 2000 Audi A6 two days ago, with 70,000 miles on it. The car
was running great till a few hours back when I parked it and got out
of the car. I saw a parking spot closer to my apartment so decided to
go back and park the car there. To my astonishment, the car completely
1995 A6 ignition key doesn't turn.22 Apr 2008 16:10 GMT3
The ignition switch in my AUDI A6 1995 has been acting up for some
time.  After starting the car the key would not spring back.  I had to
back off the key a tiny bit until I saw the Temp display turn back
on.  If I didn't back the key off the starter would continue to
A5 availability20 Apr 2008 06:21 GMT14
My local Audi dealer (upstate NY) has an A5 in the showroom. Sales guy
tells me that he is not allowed to sell it, and he is not allowed to let
anyone test-drive it. He says any order for an A5 will take six months to
fill. Is he blowing smoke?

I have a 2002 A4. Three minor light bulbs need replacing (a red one on
the trailing edge of a rear door, and the ones above the passenger
side vanity mirror and inside the glove compartment). The lenses are

Demist headlight17 Apr 2008 19:50 GMT2
Changed the H7 bulb in my A2 and it has been misting up since then. Not sure
why this might be. I checked on the plastic cover (that you need to open to
get access to the bulbs) was on properly and the rubber seal looks ok. The
bulb is also fitted securely. Anyone got a good idea ...
Getting an old Audi to pass emissions inspection14 Apr 2008 21:45 GMT8
My trusty 89 Audi 100 failed the Texas annual emissions inspection, with
excessive HC at idle ( 373 vs. the 220 limit ). All other parameters were
under the limit, including HC at speed. The inspection station said to get
an additive from O'Reilly Auto Parts called "Guaranteed To ...
1984 Audi 5000 Clutch Replacement09 Apr 2008 07:18 GMT3
I am a rather courages amateur mechanic who has gone as far as
replacing front struts on my Audi5000 '84.
The car has about 400K miles.  The throughout bearing finally went.  I
lost the ability to switch gears after a month of increasing noise.
Changing cigarette lighter07 Apr 2008 14:57 GMT3
Hope this doesn't sond too nuts, but I want to change the lighter in our A4
3.0 cab, so we can a regular 12 volt connection for laptop and (more
importantly) iPod. Is there a kit to do this?
99 A6 2.8 Crusie Conrol04 Apr 2008 18:31 GMT2
About 4 months ago, I noticed an intermittant problem with the crusie
control.  Some days, it would not engage, some days it would.
This lasted about a week or two, and since then, it just won't engage at
all.

Replacing turn signal bulb in '99 A601 Apr 2008 18:41 GMT1
Passenger side front turn signal bulb. There are two bulbs for the
front turn signals, which I didn't realize until I replaced the wrong
one. The one I unnecessarily replaced has a long finned handle
protruding that is twisted counterclockwise to remove. This is the one
