| Audi TT 2008 unstoppable brakes squealing | 30 Nov 2008 23:02 GMT | 2 |
I have had my Audi TT for a bit more than a year now and since the very beginning (the few thousand kilometers) it started doing this [tremendously annoying] loud squealing while braking right before stopping. Each time I bring it to the garage they fix it but a few days later ...

| A6 95 rear view detached from windshield | 29 Nov 2008 20:07 GMT | 3 |
The rear view mirror in my Audi A6 1995 fell off. Is there a way to separate the small metal base from the rest of the mirror which would make gluing the mirror back to the windshield a lot easier? Thanks,

I am trying to remove my transmission in order to replace the clutch. I have difficulty pulling out the spedo cable from the transmission. Could anybody give me a quick advice on how to detach the cable. I do not have any documentation which details how to do it.

| 2009 Audi's with manual gearbox | 25 Nov 2008 21:47 GMT | 12 |
I'm in upstate New York. Here, it appears to be impossible to get a 2009 Audi with a manual gearbox. I'm told by the local dealer that the 2--9 A4 with V6 will not be available at all with a manual, and I could get an A5 (I test drove one, with paddles, recently) with a manual ...

| 2005 A6 compared to older models | 25 Nov 2008 12:13 GMT | 4 |
I'm thinking of getting a 2005 A6 with 37,000 miles, and I ask a friend how he likes his A6 … he does, but said it's cost him a lot of money to keep it running. Well his is a 1999 so my guess is the is a big enough difference that I can't really compare the 2. Would most of

| Replacement Front Brake Rotors '98 A4 US spec | 24 Nov 2008 03:15 GMT | 1 |
I need to replace my front brake rotors and pads (US spec 1998 A4 V6 Quattro) and wonder if you all have any recommendations for brands or parts from the big auto parts stores (AutoZone, Pep Boys, Kragen are around here). Or notes on what not to buy.

| burning smell and smoke | 22 Nov 2008 06:45 GMT | 4 |
Yesterday after letting my 1995 Audi 90 warm up, I get into the car and notice a funny burning smell, turn the blower up to level 3 to get some heat, and a puff of white-ish smoke comes out of the dash vents followed by more of the same burning smell except much worse. Smelled ...

BELGRADE, Serbia (Nov. 20) - Why does a Yugo have a defroster on the rear window? To keep your hands warm while you push it. That's just one of the "Yugo jokes" about the cheap and much-maligned

| What to watch for with used TT coupe? | 20 Nov 2008 06:46 GMT | 8 |
I am interested in purchasing a used Audi TT coupe. Before I do so though, I would like to know a couple of things, and thought that this might be the best place to post some questions. I am also considering an Infiniti G35X also. (Yes, I know that they are two completely

| A4 Avant for winter driving | 19 Nov 2008 22:15 GMT | 6 |
Is A4 Avant as good as Subaru Outback for winter driving? My concern: lower ground clearance (of Avant) - so it could get stuck in snow more easily. Otherwise, I like Avant because of better on-road handling and better fuel economy (than Outback turbo). Also - how big is cargo ...

| Sport mode on Tiptronic question | 15 Nov 2008 22:03 GMT | 5 |
I test drove a 2002 A6 3.0 quattro 5A with 71,000 miles on Saturday, and liked it quite a bit. Inside and out, you wouldn't know its age or mileage. I am replacing a 2004 A4 1.8T Q 5M who's lease is ending in 2 weeks.
