I will be moving back to the U.S. soon for the first time in over twenty
years. The last car I owned was a Ford Pinto I bought for $300 in grad
school.
I can do a bit better now, but think I still would prefer a used car because

I have a 1981 Pontiac Parisienne 305 Auto.
 Suddenly wouldn't start. Nose of starter was broken off.
What would cause this ? Not enough clearance between flywheel
(Flexplate )  teeth + starter drive teeth ??

We been having a lot of rain and when the car sits for a few hours or longer
the brakes make a grinding noise and they tend to grab . This will go away
after a few stops. I have a 2001 Buick Century with 18k.

after i fill out the gas tank, the car wont start, battery is good,
radio-lights switches on, i have to wait almost 5-6 minutes b4 the car turns
on, this happens only after i fill the tank. i used a gas treatment solution
, still the  same.

If you lower, the CG is further south and the car will corner better.
IF (big IF) you could get a reliable offset 13" wheel/tire combo
wouldn't you zx2 be lower and wider?
