Keeping Leather Seats Cool - Ideas?12 Jun 2004 13:42 GMT1
I have a 2003 VW Passat with leather seats.  Living in Texas, these
seats get terribly hot in the summer (which started about a month ago).
I am trying to find a way to keep the seats cooler, so that my back is
not drenched in sweat after driving home in the afternoon.
Purchasing a new car...question12 Jun 2004 07:06 GMT2
I recently put in a small deposit for delivery on a new 2004 car. The
car has taken a while to get to the dealership (3 weeks now) and now
it's finally there. We initially negotiated a price with a couple
options included(spoiler, larger wheels) that they say won't be
Brakes going to floor on 2003 Cadillac Deville11 Jun 2004 05:23 GMT19
The brakes on the 2003 Cadillac Deville can be
pushed all the way to the floor.   Cadillac says
this is normal.  The National safety hotline says
they haven't gotten enough complaints to do anything

I have too many beaters. I need to pick the best one and keep it:
  1) Chevy caprice wagon, 93 - 5.7L engine with 100K miles, but 175K on the
rest of it. 4 dents, cracked bumper and windshield. looks like hell.  Runs
excellently and gets 20 mpg, except that the gear box leaks ...
cleaning battery terminals?09 Jun 2004 23:48 GMT6
I had to give a co-worker a jump last week, and noticed there was a bunch of
caked-on white powder on the positive terminal which prevented giving the spark
until the clip was re-adjusted.
Short of trying to scrape off the stuff (it's on really good), is there

Help! Engine quitting at high speeds08 Jun 2004 17:42 GMT2
I've got an '89 Buck LeSabre with about 255,000 miles (not a typo), has
been great to me for the three years I've owned it (took it on two
coast-to-coast trips with no issues whatsoever) but for about a week
it's been dying out on me at highway speeds (50+). Electrical system is

Consumer Reports about cars07 Jun 2004 19:12 GMT173
I bought a copy of the latest Consumer Reports on the 2004 cars. I am
a little surprised to see that almost all of the cars that considered
as having good quality, reliable, best vehicles, most satisfying and
good value, etc. are Japanese cars.
Minivan buying dilemma.07 Jun 2004 18:34 GMT1
I'm in the process of trying to buy a used minivan for my growing
family.   I had my heart set on a Toyota or Honda.  They're always
rated number 1, and I've had very good success with previous Toyota's
I have owned.  Where I live these are difficult to find and when you

Body Kit Questions06 Jun 2004 21:48 GMT5
How much will it cost me to have a body kit installed and painted the
same color as my car? (I already have the kit, so subtract that from
the price). I don't want the car itself repainted, but I would like
the kit to be painted to the same color as the car.
