Apologies for the cross-posting but I need some advice.
I have a 1999 1.9l 318i E46, 116000 miles, UK spec, in the UK.  This car has
always been serviced at BMW dealership at the recommended intervals and I
have had no catastrophic trouble with the engine in the past; I have owned

1991 Grand Voyager and the pedal won't go down, almost zero travel with very
weak brakes.
A piece of crud might be blocking a port somewhere.  Is there any way to
replace the master cylinder w/o the accumulator?
