Is this Phantom Plate spray for license plates legal?31 Dec 2004 19:47 GMT16
I would like to think it is.
It sounds pretty good but I've also heard about a plastic cover that
goes over your license plate too.
Some customers have called us about them.

96 Lumina "inop" radio30 Dec 2004 08:59 GMT1
We have a 96 lumina.  The radio has gone to "inop" and we are unable to
use it. Do I have to go to a dealer to get them to reset it so it can
be used?  We tried the pushing 2 and 3 buttons to get a 3 digit code
but that didn't work.  What can we do?  Thanks for your help.

Question about auto leasing after losing license29 Dec 2004 16:50 GMT1
Due to his deteriorating eyesight my 89 year old father is having to return
his Honda after 3 years of a 5 year lease.
It has low mileage (18K), but I get the impression he is going to be facing
a pretty hefty amount when he returns the car.
Warranty voided? HELP!29 Dec 2004 16:20 GMT2
I may have screwed up, and need some help.  The sliding doors on my Nissan
Quest were rattling and I tightened up some of the mounting bolts.  I
replaced one of them with one containing a lock washer because it was loose,
then my wife told me this would void the warranty.  Now I ...
Choice of engine oil28 Dec 2004 08:11 GMT2
I have heard that as a vehicle gets older and starts to consume some oil
that a heavier weight oil should be used to minimize oil consumption.  Is
that a good policy to follow with today's more sophisticated engines?

91 Geo Metro stalling problems27 Dec 2004 20:01 GMT1
I drive and it stops running, usually at idle. But has quit at 25+.
Sometimes will start after grinding on it. Found that will start and run
for several miles with no problem if I prime the throttle body with fuel.
Any ideas.
Starting/Driving a cold car questions25 Dec 2004 14:18 GMT7
I keep seeing and hearing different opinions about this:
When it's cold outside (say 32 degrees or lower), what is the best way to
get a car going after it has been sitting and the engine is cold?
Years ago I read an article from some Q&A article in the newspaper.  These
2 All season with 2 Winter tires a good idea?24 Dec 2004 10:22 GMT1
I have 2 spare winter tires for my van.    Is it a bad idea to mix two
winter tires with 2 all season tires?    I would put them in the front
(front wheel drive Venture van).
Also, will winter tires improve my stopping distance on icy surface or are
help: rough idle 1990 Toyota 4-Runner SR5 v6 3.022 Dec 2004 19:14 GMT1
Just started running rough at idle almost dies and sometimes does. Let it
run for a few minutes and  it will clear up. I replaced everything except
the plug wires, spark plugs, cap and rotor. Timing is correct. I tried
running without the idle injector plugged in and no change.

I recently had my annual vehicle inspection on my 1994 Ford Ranger. The
inspectors discovered that all of the lights work properly, with the
exception of my brake lights. When the brakes are applied, the brake
lights do not illuminate. All the fuses were checked, all the lights
