How does towing work?20 Jul 2005 07:59 GMT53
If I have a AAA membership, and my car breaks down at night, I can have them
tow my car to a shop or my dealer.  I've never needed to have my car towed, so
I don't know how this works.  If my car breaks down at night, and I have it
towed to a shop/dealer who has already closed, do I ...

I have a 2001 Olds Aurora 52,000 miles.   As I was accelerating onto
an on ramp the car jerked and my tacometer instantly redlined.  I knew
the redline was false because the motor was not running hard. I pulled
off the road and restarted the car, no problem. As I said the motor

Michelin Harmony15 Jul 2005 16:09 GMT2
I am considering getting Michelin Harmony tires for my Toyoto Avalon.
Michelin shows a rating of "7" (out of 10) for "Quiet Ride", however I
have no idea what a "7" means.  Does anyone have experience with the
quietness (or noiseness) of these tires?
Re-Painting Plastic Bumpers15 Jul 2005 06:12 GMT8
I'm going to have my 90 Eclipse repainted and I would like
to paint the black bumpers with the same paint as the body

I would like to find r12 substitute for my old a/c system.
Local stores in the LA area pep boys, auto Zone, etc, say I need a
license to buy the environmentally safe stuff, yet is available online
with no such requirement.
Philadelphia's Malicious PARKING TICKET SCAM12 Jul 2005 16:46 GMT14
PHILADELPHIA'S MALICIOUS PARKING TICKET SCAM
Parking spaces reserved for the handicapped are desirable, but
from the number of them in Philadelphia PA one would think half
its population is in wheelchairs. These spaces do not exist
Obtaining CARFAX information on one's own12 Jul 2005 14:37 GMT3
Assuming that the CARFAX service gets most of its data from public
sources, it seems to me that any individual should be able to obtain
the exact same information, without having to pay CARFAX for it.  Does
anyone know exactly where CARFAX gets all of its info from?  TIA.
Edmunds Car Review12 Jul 2005 13:22 GMT2
