as i understand, sump oil sits at the bottom of the engines cyclinder, where the crankshaft and so forth is spinning around under the piston. what is the sump oil for? is it a purely lubricating fluid? to prevent overheating of the engine parts? cheers

With the current gas prices, I would seriously consider a hybrid car, if I could afford a new car (which I can't). I just drive an old beater and keep fixing it till I finally have to replace it with another beater.

I have a 92 mercury sable and have antifreeze all over my engine and there was smoke outside and inside of the car while driving. Could that be a heater core and are there any free diagrams online where i can view to do it myself???

Anyone have a Diagram of how to Remove a Serpentine Belt from 1999 Mazda Protege? my Daughters Alternator belt broke and Need to remove this (Serpentine)in order to put the other belt on. Please any help would really appreciate!
