Where to find a spare tire holder?09 Sep 2005 13:42 GMT2
I am the owner of a beat-up 1991 Dodge B150 van named Julio.  I bought
it for $800 a couple years ago from a guy named Julio so the name just
stuck.  It was a painter's van, but I use it to haul my band equipment
now.  Anyhow, it has no spare tire and I often see Dodge vans (and
Big Fat Wife stuck under car09 Sep 2005 09:13 GMT10
My big fat wife over 400 lbs, can always do things better than anyone
else.  At least that is what she thinks.  Yesterday I was putting a
muffler on our car and she said it was taking too long and kept
bitching at me.  I finally told her to do it.  She could not get under
Out-of-state speeding ticket in Michigan08 Sep 2005 22:35 GMT8
I was speeding in Michigan when going back to my home in Iowa.   I was
probably going 75 mph but the ticket says 65/55 for the description of the
offense.
The officer said that I had to give him $50 cash for bond or AAA card.
Waxing new car ... Questions08 Sep 2005 19:31 GMT25
I'm picking up my brand new car tonight (2006 Hyundai Elantra VE 5 Door
in Midnight Blue) and I'd like to baby it a bit, so I'm hoping to give
it a good waxing this weekend.  I've got a few questions though.  First
off, the brands that I have access to are Mothers, Meguiar's, Eagle
3M paint protection - protection from other cars in tight spots?08 Sep 2005 13:20 GMT6
I am considering 3M's clear paint protection material for my next new
car. I know it is designed for protecting paint from flying rocks at
speed. However, I would like to know from people who had it applied,
how effective is the film in protecting your front bumper from other
1994 Acura08 Sep 2005 02:34 GMT4
I have a 1994 Acura which run great until yesterday.  Never had a major
problem.  I did the regular maintenance and my car made it past 300K.
Yesterday, I took it for the annual inspection in Virginia.
This morning, my car does not start.  When I put my key in the ignition

Fixing Dent on Bumper. Pls need help.06 Sep 2005 20:28 GMT2
I recently got a dent on my bumper and I really can't afford taking it
to a shop. One shop quoted to fix it for $400. It's a lot of money,
that I don't have right now.
So, I am thinking about fixing it myself.
4 or 6 cylinder small truck???06 Sep 2005 06:04 GMT1
We're thinking about buying a small truck.
We're moving from Florida to Washington state and will be driving our
motorhome (loaded with as much stuff as we can safely carry).  Rather
than spend $$$ to rig up a tow bar to tow our small Saturn, we were
1992 Dodge Spirit Fuel Pump problem05 Sep 2005 17:58 GMT5
I replaced the fuel pump on my car because it wasn't working.  The new one
doesn't work either, so I was thinking that it could be the fuel pump relay,
so I bought one, even though I'm not 100% sure where it is located.  I found
some relays located up by the car battery, but my new ...
Selling a car to private party (cashier's check? bank check? need advice)05 Sep 2005 10:48 GMT5
I am about post an ad to sell my old car to a private party.
My biggest worry is a scam with a cashiers or personal check.
I am certain that most people won't agree to cash ($5000-$6000).
What can I do to ensure that I get a legitimate payment for my vehicle.
Anyone alarmed at the rapid depreciation of their SUV?05 Sep 2005 05:28 GMT3
Saw where GM is offering steep incentives to unload their SUVs and trucks on
TV tonight.  Some are approaching $8-10K (instant cash-backs and employee
discounts) which means the vehicle is either grossly overpriced or they want
to unload them quick for the 2006 models.  Still, ...

a few days ago I began smelling coolant through my air vents and saw smoke
when I used the A/C.I did not notice any visible leaks and added
antifreeze when I checked radiator and it was very low. Today while parked
on a slight incline (after driving around for a while) coolant ...
I need plans for horse drawn vehicles04 Sep 2005 22:45 GMT58
I need plans for horse drawn vehicles.
I am serious about this.  With gas being in the $2.50 to $3.00 a
gallon range, and likely to get much higher, I am looking for ways to
avoid having to buy the stuff.  I have already done all the usual
No High MPG autos?04 Sep 2005 21:26 GMT6
The technology to greatly reduce our dependence on oil has existed for
decades.
76 years ago the President of General Motors predicted 80-mpg by 1939; 69
years ago Ford Motor Co. tested a 170-mpg Pogue carburetor; 32 years ago
