I am trying to take the AFM off the carb in a 1992 Nissan Sentra but one of the screws is stuck. It is a Philips and I don't want to wreck the screw head and cause more problems. Is it true that using a larger screw driver may work?

I recently had my head rebuilt plus new rings. At 400 miles, plugs look very clean, light tan. No more oil soaking Mechanic wants a 500 mile breakin before I can open it up and check power against prior performance.
