Oxygen Sensor questions30 Dec 2005 05:26 GMT4
My 89 Chevy wagon with 307 engine has been using too much gas lately,
and the "check engine" light comes on every so often.  While visiting
friends today, my friend has one of those diagnostic testers, so he
plugged it in.  It indicated a problem with the Oxygen sensor.

My nephew has a 1997 Camaro V6 which I believe has the original spark plugs in it. When his mother was driving the car I was going to change the spark plugs but found that some of the plugs, especially the right rear, appeared to be very difficult to get to. I took the heat ...

tank.
Year a Car Was Manufactured24 Dec 2005 09:40 GMT2
Can anyone tell me how to estimate the year a car was manufactured from
the serial number of its California license plate.  For example, maybe
something like "numbers 3NAA000-3PZZZ000 were only issued in 1995"?  If
that doesn't work is the next best thing trying to identify the year

finding a short circuit17 Dec 2005 23:22 GMT2
Is there a systematic way, not involving expensive or sophisticated
instruments, to track down a short circuit? I have an old ('82) Chevy
Malibu in which the Clock/Courtesy fuse (20 Amp) continues to blow.
Naturally, lots of things are on this circuit (horn, clock, dome light,
No heat in my Grand Cherokee17 Dec 2005 18:23 GMT2
I have a 1996 Grand Cherokee and it doesn't throw any heat.  I've changed
the thermostat.  Could this be a heater core problem?  If so, can this be
flushed out or in need of replacement.  Where would I find this heater
core?  Are there any other possible causes of no heat in the ...
Web comparison shopping for new cars14 Dec 2005 17:00 GMT1
Is there a spreadsheet type comparison page somewhere?
I want to look at small SUV/crossover vehicles sorted by price and listing
fuel eff., size options, etc.
Edmonds will let you compare 5, but you must type in models.
Braking problem14 Dec 2005 14:52 GMT2

Ever since then, when I am driving (in clear, dry, cold conditions) on
the highway I find that the car will sometimes slide to the right, or
