Horrendous mileage, no gas smell28 Feb 2006 05:50 GMT1
My '99 Plymouth Voyager is getting about 3 miles per gallon; used 1/2 tank
to drive to Detroit and back to Ann Arbor (about 60 minutes of driving).
Notice needle going way down on short trips as well.
No smell of gas, tank doesn't empty when car's not running, exhaust doesn't
Removing compressor clutch w/o blowing freon charge?27 Feb 2006 22:47 GMT5
I asked this question on the Toyota Truck subgroup, but go no answers.
After seeking advice locally, I am coming to believe it is NOT POSSIBLE
to remove the comrpessor clutch on a Toyota truck without removing the
comrpessor from the vehicle first (thus, blowing the charge and
NYC IS TOO GOOD TO DRIVERS27 Feb 2006 01:10 GMT2
Hooray for Ms. Skenazy!!  On a personal note, as a result of my
much-increased interest in bicycling due to recumbents, I'm seriously
considering Urban Policy for a Master Degree, hoping to fit in some
kind of bicycling angle to it.  As a result of my 50-mile bike trips
salvage title?26 Feb 2006 16:16 GMT1
ok, i am 16 years old and a first time driver/car buyer.  I bought a
car that was really nice looking with many extras and low miles for
very cheap, but there was a dent in the quarter panel that needed to be
fixed.  The car was issued a salvage title for this and from what I
problems shifting with manual transmission (stick), help, something is wrong25 Feb 2006 02:46 GMT7
I just acquired an older car.  I am sure that the clutch is working
well.  When I first drove the car, I had no problems shifting.  Then,
after a few days, I began having problems shifting into 1st gear.   Not
every time, but on a regular basis, the stick will not go smoothly into
How to remove stickers fromtreads of new tires?25 Feb 2006 02:14 GMT5
I had 4 new tires put on my Jeep GC, but I forgot to remove the large sticker-
labels that are on the tread of each tire and the installer didn't bother
either.
I attempted to peel them off but that proved impossible since I'd already

Transmission Question23 Feb 2006 00:07 GMT2
Yesterday, my wife brought her 2000 Lincoln Continental into the dealer
for the recommended 60,000 mile transmission flush and filter replacement
(a $200 job).  Now, when it's idling and you shift into drive, there's
a small, but notiecable "lurch" forward...not huge, but enough to ...

Toyo radiator ( model # 60300 AF ) 's cap puts too little pressure on coolant22 Feb 2006 05:01 GMT5
When hot, coolant's air bubbles appear / expand, so coolant always got
pushed out of cap & into overflow-bottle.
I put a o-ring onto cap's bottom seat for cap's gasket to press onto, to
increase cap's spring's pressure on coolant, www.barsleaks.net/faq.html
