1998 Isuzu Trooper28 Jun 2007 20:29 GMT3
I have a 1998 Isuzu Trooper that's been going through a lot of oil
lately.  It has about 98,000 miles on it on a rebuilt engine.  I just
recently got an oil change on it about 1200 miles ago.  There's no
apparent leak as I can't spot any oil spots underneath the Trooper

On April 30, 2007,  I purchased a 2004 KIA Optima that had been used by the
dealer as a loaner.  The car had about 19,000 miles on it when purchased by

Full rebuild, or slap it back together?22 Jun 2007 23:57 GMT10
Heyas,
I'm elbows-deep in the guts of a '92 Geo Tracker engine; at first this
was a quickie re-ring and topside gasket set--pull the head, drop the oil
pan, pop the pistons, and clean the carbon out. It's got about 107,000

1995 Ford F150 6 cylinder 4.9L
My temperature gauge on the dash has been stuck on COLD for about a year.
The heater produces hot air no problem.  I changed the thermostat anyway,
but it didn't make any difference. So when my mechanic was doing some other

Basic question - how to use a battery charger?19 Jun 2007 02:53 GMT1
I have an older battery charger that I haven't used much, but I don't
have the users manual and am looking for some basic information - such
as when it's first turned on what should the ampere rating be, what
should the trend on the scale be after that (i.e. going up or down?),
can both be used?17 Jun 2007 18:21 GMT1
I think my car (96 vision TSI)  has a head gasket leak that is effecting the
coolent system.
Since I can't afford a new head gasket I am thinking of useing one of those
"leak stop" in a bottle solution (which i know is tempoary at best)

Motor Trend - July 1994
Look back over the 100-plus years of automobilia. You won't find a car
that's mirrored the ever-changing American consumer's tastes as closely
as has Thunderbird. What began in '55 as a sporty-looking two-seat
Beware of the cars and MADD15 Jun 2007 08:06 GMT22
Well, I was considering dropping such an exciting sport such as biking
in order to survive. See, it's stupid to face the beast. Case in point
is the recent hit and run (so common in America) in which the victim
faced the bloody predator. Well, she was run over and dragged for

Hybrids vs High MPG Conventional Cars?09 Jun 2007 03:17 GMT17
My current car is old, at the end of its life cycle. I got a breakdown
from metal fatigue. I got some rust. Parts are getting hard to get.
This time I got lucky, my mechanic was able to fix it one more time.
It looks this winter will be the smart time to take money I saved and
