Factory XM converted to portable XM10 Jan 2008 17:11 GMT3
I'd like to cancel my XM subscription on my Chevy HHR and go with a portable
system that I can use in multiple vehicles or in the house and still have
the ability to use the portable XM on the factory radio in my HHR. In other
words I don't want to purchase multiple subscriptions ...
car does not start - wiring problem10 Jan 2008 02:19 GMT3
I have a 2000 Hyundai Sonata which does not run. The mechanic suspects
that some internal wiring has burnt down or shorted. The error codes
cannot be retrieved from the computer with a OBD II scanner and we
have tried it with a new computer too. Can anyone tell me if its
Opinions Sought:  Cars With Worst Steering "Feel"09 Jan 2008 05:40 GMT4
Just curious!  I own a 2005(Epsilon-based) Malibu with the electric
variable p.s., and it's O.K.  Decent return from turns, and reasonably
tight & centered at anything over 40mph, but a little *vague* when
doing s-turns up and down the shopping center lot.

Due to pressure from the government, the Lincoln Continental will be
renamed to reflect a more recent US president.
Beginning in 2009, it will be called the Bush Continental.

Strong SUV sales08 Jan 2008 08:46 GMT47
"Thought sales of big, expensive SUVs and pickups were on life support?
It would seem that reports of their death have been greatly exaggerated
as sales for some of the largest, thirstiest luxury models...have shown
a surprising resurgence..."
Is my Subaru's starter giving me trouble or is it something else?07 Jan 2008 17:13 GMT5
This is my first post to this ng and perhaps there are better places to get
advice on fixing my car.
I think that this question could be applied to any make or model but in
particular I have a 92 Subaru legacy. I have noticed that sometimes the
mazda mpv brakes07 Jan 2008 15:42 GMT4
I've been a licenced mechanic since 1971 and I am since retired and
have forgotten something obvious about brakes.
My kids Mazda MPV 4WD with rear wheel "ABS" has a low brake pedal.  I
took the master cyl off and stripped it down, washed it out, rubbers

Avoid Co Op Transmission in Santee, followup05 Jan 2008 06:53 GMT1
In May of 2007, the transmission started going out in my 2001 Isuzu
Trooper.  It started slipping in first gear.  It had 85,000 miles on
it.  I took it to a place that had been in business down the street
for 20+ years, Camino Transmission in Encinitas, California:
Should SUV Driving amount to Drunk Driving?03 Jan 2008 23:58 GMT299
Are SUVs' tinted windows a sign of shame? Or are they a sign of
misanthropism? I know their wanton disregard for the environment and
their isolation from others causes a lot of problems. I can never read
what they are up to, for one. And I feel terrorized in my bike or
Check Engine Light With E8503 Jan 2008 03:11 GMT17
I have 2003 Dodge Caravan SE, which takes E85 (has the E85 sticker on the
