High milage verus regular oil question.23 Apr 2008 04:01 GMT1
Is it worth the time / money to use high milage oil in an older car
with about 110,000 miles on it or is regular oil just as good ??
The last time I had the oil changed I went with Quaker State high
milage over regular Quaker State oil .
No Spark - Ford Pickup21 Apr 2008 16:57 GMT3
I have a 1977 manual transmission ford pickup V8 that ran when I
parked it last fall but had a curious problem going on then.  Until it
was warmed up (while idling or going down the road), the engine would
occasionally die.  It would immediately restart and continue on until
95 ESCORT AUTO TRANS NOT PUMPING FLUID TO COOLER LINES...19 Apr 2008 13:47 GMT3
Instead of dropping the pan, I disconnect the cooling hose to the
radiator and pump out 3-4 quarts of dirty fluid.  This has worked fine
on all my cars.  Now, with a car I just bought, no fluid is pumping
out to the radiator.  I did drop the pan and change the filter.  The
Gasket Sealant18 Apr 2008 17:30 GMT2
I have a 1999 chevy venture van. In 2004, the intake manifold gasket
leaked and I had it replaced. The mechanic changed the coolant to
dex-kool, a brownish coolant that was supposed to be safe for the gasket.
A few weeks ago, he informed me that the gasket is leaking again.
Questions about brake lines18 Apr 2008 17:27 GMT1
I just put new brake lines on my 89 Chevy.  A few years back I
replaced the main line to the rear, but now one of the center tee to
wheel lines sprung a leak.  I replaced both of the rear lines that go
across the differential.  My question is the clips that hold them to
How do I change Rear Cab Window 90 F15017 Apr 2008 07:22 GMT4
While tossing lumber in my 1990 Ford F150 Pickup truck, I knocked out
the rear window on the passenger side.  Yeah, I deserve idiot award,
and I'm still pissed about it.  Anyhow, this is a 4 piece window,
left, right, and the two in the middle that slide open.  I only broke
Driving With Two Brakes - Part Two16 Apr 2008 08:01 GMT22
Thanks to everyone for the excellent advice that's been given regarding our
situation. We're definitely going to get the car fixed or else just park it.
But now there's a slight situation.
I talked to the shop that gave the quote, and it was $130, not $110, which

CHUCK ENGINE LIGHT - Time for a New Engine08 Apr 2008 18:37 GMT20
Sooner or later almost every driver sees a yellow "Check Engine"
light.  This means that the engine needs repair.  This is generally a
minor problem such as a defective emissions control, cracked vacuum
hose, or a bad spark plug.
VA - Rejection Stickers08 Apr 2008 09:31 GMT1
I have a question about Rejection Stickets for annual car inspections
in Virginia.
Do I HAVE to go back to the SAME inspection station that gave me the
rejection sticker?
Driving With Two Brakes06 Apr 2008 01:50 GMT27
What are the dangers of driving with two brakes? I just found out that when
my ex-wife took my teenage son's car in to be repaired last week, they said
there was a leak in the rear wheel cylindar, which was causing brake fluid
to go onto the brake shoes, causing there to be no ...

Vehicle pricing03 Apr 2008 06:51 GMT9
I recently bought a new HHR, the decision was made because of looking at
a used HHR (2007) and it was only priced $3600 less that the new one.
Now for more on the story, several months ago I looked at a couple of
local dealers for a HHR. They came back with out the door prices ...
