I r&r the alternator on my 2000 Plymouth Grand Voyager. After reinstalling the intake manifold and turning on the van, the rpms are 2500 to 3000 rpm. depressing the pedal brings rpms to 3500 & they stay there. What did I miss? I do notice that the left side cable on

My car had been leaking oil, and when I had it checked the guy drained the remaining oil, and then found that that the threading in the hole in the oil pan, where the oil drains out, had been partially stripped. The bolt was loose due to this, which is what had been causing the oil
