After an oil change today for my wife's 2000 Lincoln Continental with
107,000 miles on it, the service rep said that the power steering fluid

If so I would think it's excessive. It used to be that 1 qt per 3000
miles was the "acceptable" rule. Many of the newer Toyota/Lexus 3.5L

My son has a VW Golf that's about 15+ years old. He took it in for an oil
change about two weeks ago, and today his car was totally out of oil.
He brought it in to the place, and they said that the rear main seal was
shot, and that's why the oil was leaking. The cost to repair ...
