Hello, I recently purchased a 1993 BMW 325iC Convertible and discovered that some of the pieces on the right hand side of the retraction mechanism aren't connected. Can anybody tell me how these pieces are supposed to fit together?

I just bought a 1989 320i Cabrio with what I believe is the original top. It looks good, the window is reasonable transparent, and there are only a few slightly worn areas. But I think it may be too tight or somehow otherwise not be adjusted
