 I just installed a Clarion DXZ745MP head unit in my '96 328i with the
Harmon Kardon upgrade.  All works well, but I hear some noise, which seems
tied to engine speed, during AM broadcasts and during the "silent" breaks
between changing satellite stations.

My 740iL has developed a nasty little issue whereby the auto transmission
shudders very badly in reverse. It doesn't happen in any other gear as yet,
only reverse. It doesn't seem to matter whether it is hot or cold either.

On my 1993 E34, BOTH passenger side door locks have stopped responding
to the central locking system.  They will operate mechanically (double
lock not engaged), but they don't respond to either the remote control
or the electronic switches in the driver's door or trunk locks.  ...

What type of fluid is used for the power steering?  Is it regular oil or
standard power steering fluid?  I know this sounds silly, it isn't explained in
the manual either, I looked.

Hi all - I recently bought a 1998 540 (last week) and I've noticed a
shake sometimes plus a loss of maybe 25% of oomph!!. The shake is very
noticeable when sationary. No warning lights come on. If I turn off the
ignition and re-start, the shake goes away and all the oomph comes ...
