I have a 2000 323i stored for winter. I warm it up every once 2-3 weeks usually, to keep the battery from dying, but wasn't able to do so for the last month and a half or so. After the said month and a half, I got in and turned the key. It sounded

Lots of talk in this group about replacing the *plastic* water pumps on E36's. Supposedly my 97 328 has a metal impeller, and currently at 109K miles it seems to be just fine. How many people go ahead and replace even the metal ones as preventative

I saw a metal or aluminum shift boot ring on an E46 in Europe and would love to find one for my 2001 330i. This is like a frame around the leather boot. I wonder if anyone knows where I can get a good one. The closest thing I could find is on this page:

| Broken Camshaft | 19 Mar 2004 20:44 GMT | 64 |
Car newbie here... My 1990 BMW 518i (about 120k miles) recently ground to a halt out of the blue whilst doing only about 40mph or so (I wasn't in the car at the time). It was taken to a garage and they diagnosed a broken camshaft. This sounds

| Car and Driver TV cheats.. | 19 Mar 2004 15:03 GMT | 24 |
In the last couple of days, I watched a 'Car and Driver TV' road test that featured six sporting sedans.. five models were pitched against the BMW 3 series 325i.. their reason for picking the 325i for the test was to give the others a chance.. so six testers get to drive all of the ...

| LHD E30 wiper linkage problem | 19 Mar 2004 15:00 GMT | 3 |
I switched on the wipers & there was a 'clonk'. Now the motor turns but the wipers stay still. On lifting the black plastic grill on the drivers side I can see the end of a linkage from the motor has come adrift. I can pop it back onto the end of the wiper driver shaft but it slips ...
