E34 overheating damage30 Apr 2004 23:59 GMT6
My 1994 540 burst a hose yesterday and seriously overheated in the process.
Since repairing the hose it runs cool but feels different.  It struggles  to
idle and feels a bit lacking and jerky at low revs.  I presume that it must
have damaged something on the intake side.  It also ...
Clutch question30 Apr 2004 23:26 GMT6
I'm looking into buying a 330i, and am considering the manual transmission
(I'm told it's more fun). Since I've never really driven a manual before,
I'll have to learn. Something I was reading about the 330i was that the
clutch was a "long throw." What exactly does that mean? Will ...

New Model 325 and 330's?30 Apr 2004 18:24 GMT5
Does anyone know when the new model of the 325 and 330 is coming out?
Also - how much would a lease run for each of these in the 2004 or 2005 models?
A rough estimate would be great.
Thanks,
general BMW questions30 Apr 2004 17:57 GMT5
I am going to buy a used 2000 BMW 323i sedan and had a few questions:
- At what miles does the brakes need to be replaced?
- Does extended warranty means that the car has to be repaired only at
that dealer from whom the car was bought originally?
mp3 player30 Apr 2004 17:04 GMT8
Any connected a MP# player to a 3 Series 2002 and up?
Was it simple or is it best to pay BMW ( local dealer)?
convertible prices30 Apr 2004 16:15 GMT1
Anyone know which is currently the cheapest country in Europe to buy a 3
series convertible? I dislike the new facelift model but not enough to pay
what UK dealers are asking for used cars.
Thaks for any help

Okay, sort of a continuation of my last post.
With the OBC, can anyone explaing to me how the CODE system works? As
I understand it it imobbilizes your car, but when and how? How do I
set a new code, and when do I have to put in a code?
Wheels - UK30 Apr 2004 13:19 GMT1
Anyone bought wheels from this place:
http://www.rochfordtyres.co.uk/default.asp
They do some BMW (I assume) copies, so wondered what the quality was like
compared to the real thing?

Rough idle on 2003 325i30 Apr 2004 02:16 GMT3
My brand new 325i sputters a bit after a cold start but recovers
quickly once I put it in gear and drive out of my driveway.  Last
night, after driving the car for about an hour, I noticed that the car
would idle at park at about 600 RPM, which I thought seemed low (I
Hemi??30 Apr 2004 01:39 GMT64
What's with the big mystique with Chrysler and the hemi? I thought quite
a few major manufacturers, including BMW, tried and abandoned the hemi as a
less than ideal solution for combustion chamber design. It falls short in
terms of squish, swirl, scavenge and is, geometrically ...
