I'm stubbornly coming to the conclusion that I'll never get around to
restoring this, I'm not there yet, but getting there.
Sahara Tan, runs, dual webber carbs, factory alloy mags, toolkit. A/C

E46 Brake Job - 330xi29 Apr 2004 14:12 GMT2
I installed new brake pads and rotors on my E46 (2002 330xi).  I
installed Pagid pads and Zimmermann rotors.  They're working great, no
squeak, no vibrations, stop on a dime.
But when I look at the front pads very closely there is a larger gap

Sump (oil pan) for E30 318is29 Apr 2004 10:23 GMT5
Hello Group,
A sudden loss of all oil in the engine, and an inability to retain oil after
a re-fill, has revealed a crack in the aluminium sump (oil pan) at the bottom
of the engine (in doubt caused by hitting a rock on a rough track).
BMW Key Codes29 Apr 2004 08:58 GMT8
When you go and buy a new BMW the dealer has you fill out a questionaire of
all the setting you want. For example, Daytime running lights on or off,
Doors lock automatically when you move, etc.
I heard these settings can be set using your 3 button key. Does anyone have
Airbag light in E4629 Apr 2004 08:55 GMT1
I have an intermittant fault that causes the airbag fault light (dealer
reset) to come on. Dealer diags indicate it is the passenger seatbelt
pre-tensioner wiring but this has been replaced twice and reseated several
times. Anyone experienced this and what may fix it? It is driving ...
E46 alarm question29 Apr 2004 07:08 GMT2
I have a 2004 325xi, and am thinking about self installing the factory
alarm. The parts do not appear to include any transmitter. I have the
stock key that came with the car that opens/locks the doors, trunk.
Will I need to also purchase another key or fob for the BMW alarm

e46 Keyfob Stops Working29 Apr 2004 05:13 GMT3
I have just bought a 2001 E46 323Ci. Sometimes, 1st thing in the morning I
cannot unlock the car with the keyfob. I have to unlock the car mechanically
(the electrics don't unlock the central locking) and cancel the alarm with
the key in the ignition.
Oh dear...[E30 (1988 325i)]29 Apr 2004 00:54 GMT9

A friend has a nice 89 BMW 3 series car, but it has no airbag.  Can an airbag

Thanks for any info.
Shade Tree Hack. . .E34 Power Seat Repair. . . Victorious29 Apr 2004 00:38 GMT5
Those annoying power seat drive failures, the ones where the seat
dementedly curls up on one side when you attempt to raise the bottom,
or lower the seatback in some crooked fashion, there is a simple cure.
I did a 540 and a 525 over the past couple of days in Atlanta where my

Batteries and alternators - advice please28 Apr 2004 23:14 GMT8
I bought a new battery for my 1995 model M3 in February.  Using the
"secret" OBC function to monitor voltage, I found that it's somewhat lower
