At 1200 miles new M3's require an engine oil change, transmission fluid
change, and gear box oil change.  I can understand the transmission and
differential.  However, do they use a special break-in oil for the engine or
is it just concern about particles in the oil that the filter ...

Yesterday, the door handle of my 1996 Z3 BMW broke. It was at the
plastic piece that attaches the handle to the torox screw in the door
frame. The driver side handle also  broke about two weeks ago. I am

I'm about to purchase a 1992 535i 5-spd manual with 82k miles.
It has only had one owner and is in great condition (apparently).
What items are most likely to fail in the next 30k miles (2 years)?
Timing chain? Head gasket? Are either of these jobs ones I can do to save

I have a 2000 323Ci but the accelerator pedal is very stiff. Does anyone
know what might be causing this. I heard it may be an electrical fault.

I own a 1988 318i M40 auto( not sold in US).(RHD)
I want to buy a 4.1 diff(non LSD) from a 1991 318i M42.(LHD)
My question is will it fit?

Yesterday the fuel consumption meter in my 1991 525i has started sticking
at the bottom of the range, between 13 l/100km and 17 l/100km (the metric
meter has 0 on far left, 30 on far right). When the consumption is
increasing, the needle stops at 13, and doesn't move until it jumps ...

I'm looking for tan floor mats with the BMW logo on them for a 1999 528i.
Can anyone recommend any good places to find them?  I checked ebay, but no
luck.  Thanks
