i discovered yesterday that fuse no. 25 had blown . This fuse is supposed to
be connected with "Digital motor Electronics".Wich electronics ? I also
suspect I could have driven for quite sometime but without noticing any
problems.
Where are the spark plugs?31 May 2004 19:55 GMT17
I;ve never changed the plugs on a BMW before, and in looking under the hood,
I don;t see them anywhere.  I haven't ventured underneath the car yet, but
can anyone tell me if I'm missing them from up top?  I have a '99 528i.
I guess it's also time to get a service manual...
can i chirp using the key to lock doors?31 May 2004 16:45 GMT3
the lights just wink. manual says to bring to BMW center to change to
chirp...Strange?  Bring to dealer just to make a chirp when locking the
doors??... i am missing something. Thats seems very silly to have to bring
to dealer for such a minor thing.

Nav/CD30 May 2004 19:45 GMT1
I love the Nav system. Works great.
My question is how do you go about getting an updated DVD? Can you ONLY get
it from BMW, or does the system work with other GPS/Nav databases?
Also, my disc is for Canada. Obviously I need to get a US one (or set) if I
tires for sale30 May 2004 18:21 GMT2
high performance tires for a car that no longer exists!!
No rims. The 4 'new' Michelin tires are just that (they may have been on
the car for a couple of weeks, max.)  The 3 Pirellis have one or two
seasons wear.  I know the Michelins were @ $400 each.
Continued Speedometer problems30 May 2004 17:34 GMT3
A few months ago I posted to the group regarding my 1985 325e speedometer.
I received some great suggestions and have replaced the following components
(starting with the least expensive to most expensive)
1.    Speedometer Sender in rear differential (didn't help)
WTB: 2001 330i Red/Black, auto, sport pkg30 May 2004 17:08 GMT6
I am looking for a 2001 (maybe 2002) 330i that is red with a black interior. It
must have four doors, auto transmission and the sport package. Other options
are welcome such as premium package, xenon lights, heated seats, HK stereo and
even navigation.
AC Question30 May 2004 16:15 GMT14
In my 1987 535is, the AC compressor has no leaks (sniffer tested)
and a full freon charge, and the fan works fine, but the cool-air
output (I wouldn't go so far as to call it 'cold') is feeble at
best.  Any suggestions?  Is the compressor just worn out?
325Ci model year changes30 May 2004 10:34 GMT1
Hi, I'm looking for the following information (I was unable to find it
anywhere).
For the Canadian E46 325Ci, in what model year(s) did BMW make the
following improvements:
Purchasing an extended warranty after 100k miles30 May 2004 05:25 GMT2
Does anyone know of any companies that offer the purchase of an extended
warranty after 100,000 miles?  Mine is coming up (1999 528i) and I was
wondering if I can extend it or buy a new one?
If so, any idea of cost and term?

e32 reliablility30 May 2004 00:58 GMT4
I am looking to purchase a late 80's e32 735i, but I am concerned with
7-series horror stories mostly pretaining to 12-cylinder models, just to put
things into persepective I am coming out of an '88 Mercedes 190e 2.3 with
over 270k and had a nearly 20 year old e28 so I am aware of ...
Gas Guage Problems Linked to Gasoline29 May 2004 22:56 GMT1
I just read this article posted on Yahoo News. It says that there has been a
problem recently with the gas that is being sold in the Southeastern Region
of the USA. With the discussions going on on this board recently, I wonder
it there is a link ...
