Windows intermittent on 1999 323i E4620 Jul 2004 01:00 GMT5
My driver side electric window occasionally does not operate (intermittent).
Before I pull the door panel off to investigate, anyone have a similar
problem who can offer a few tips ?
Thanks in advance for any assistance rendered !
1993 525 tds stall problem20 Jul 2004 00:34 GMT2
A nice car and a good runner but it has this little occasional problem. On
decelerating, braking and changing down at a junction (etc), there is a
tendancy for the engine to stall. Any suggestions? (ask more questions if
needed).

be worth a go and like the idea of economy with a bit of go. The
Universal Remote Control19 Jul 2004 20:12 GMT8
Does anyone know much about BMW's "Universal Remote Control" option?
Supposedly, it can be programmed to open gates and garage doors etc using
three numbered buttons near the driver's mirror.
I have tried to find more information online such as whether it supports
ATF leak on E3019 Jul 2004 19:00 GMT1
My '88 325i convertible recently started leaking auto trans fluid.
The source of the leak looks like a cracked plastic connector where a
cable enters the housing, just above the shift linkage.
The Bentley manual seems to indicate (it is not perfectly clear) that
E46 brake and oil flush after track; do-it-yourself or dealer?19 Jul 2004 17:00 GMT1
I've just pushed my '99 328i hard for the first time: two days on the
track. I want to flush the brake and motor oil, but I'd like to know
if I should do it myself or let my dealer handle it. The local BMW
dealer is plenty competent, but I don't mind trying it myself if there
Optimum CG Location19 Jul 2004 16:50 GMT13
Suppose that, on a high-performance rear-wheel-drive
sports-sedan in the M5 class, the
conventional engine were to be replaced with a different type, perhaps
an axial piston design, that was slender enough to be located anywhere
2005 3 series  USA19 Jul 2004 16:36 GMT7
The sales man at my dealer said they were going to start manufacturing the
2005 3 series in August and it would basically be the same as the 2004.
That is different than all the auto magazines that say the 2005 3 series
will be resdesigned.  Does anyone know the truth?  He says the ...
1995 525t Overheating19 Jul 2004 14:45 GMT7
On the way the work today the car started to overheat. My first warning
was the coolant temperature alarm. I pulled off got a toll to my house
and took out the thermostat. I checked the thermostat by dropping it in
boiling water and noted that it didn't move.
325tds hot start problems19 Jul 2004 14:37 GMT1
I have a problem with my father's car, a 1994 325tds.
It is very hard to start when the engine is hot but has been off for
over 15 minutes. It starts ok when hot if i turn it off and
immediatly on, or if has cooled overnight.
Supercharging?19 Jul 2004 09:47 GMT10
Hey all, I got a 2003 325xi this year and I really like it. I kind of
wish I had gotten a 330xi now, but its too late for that!
I was digging around on the internet for information on supercharging.
Does anyone here know anything about how a 325xi would do? I would think
Battery Safety Terminal19 Jul 2004 08:00 GMT5
Will I be able to replace the BST myself on an E46 318 (1999)?  It
would save me a great deal if I could just buy one and replace it at
home, without having to book the car in to a dealership.
1993 525i pinging19 Jul 2004 01:57 GMT11
I have BMW 525i 1993. I have found lately that in 3rd gear (automatic)
the engine pings a bit. Is this normal. The car only has 63,000 miles
and runs great - but the pinging is a bit annoying. Is it the gas? Tune
up? Service? THANKS!
E?18 Jul 2004 22:58 GMT2
Hi, Just got me first BMW recently, a 2002 318i SE UK Model (2.0 litre
valvetronic engine). I see on this group a lot of BM's are called E30's,
E34's, etc. What 'E' have I got?
Cheers.
Looking to buy 90's 3 or 5 series in Texas or Louisiana18 Jul 2004 19:04 GMT1
As the subject says, I'm looking to buy a later 90's 3 or 5 series BMW.
I'm looking to pick it up for a decent price.
Until Wednesday of this week I hade a 318TI which I absolutely LOVED. A 20
