My E30's diff is whining a bit at speed (it does have 177k miles in fairness). Tried a fluid change but it didn't help. I'm inclined to live with the noise as it's not bad, unless anyone knows of some magic diff fluid additive.

CD changer seems to be dead. Does anyone have recommendations as to whether to get it fixed at the dealer or buy a new head unit and forgo the cd changer altogether? Current head unit seems to be ok, the changer is bad. Does the dealer even fix these things, or do they send them ...

I have a couple of mid 90's BMW 3 series whose window weatherstripping is binding and squealing a bit. What's the right product for lubricating these? I'm pretty sure any petroleum-based lube or silicone is going to smear on the glass. Is graphite appropriate, or is it harder than ...

from time to time i seem to lose or stuck in 2nd gear. or sometime when accelerating from a stop, the car does not want to move. feel like someone is engaging the brakes at the same time. the brakes are definitely not binding.
