My E30's diff is whining a bit at speed (it does have 177k miles in
fairness). Tried a fluid change but it didn't help. I'm inclined to live
with the noise as it's not bad, unless anyone knows of some magic diff
fluid additive.

CD changer seems to be dead.  Does anyone have recommendations as to whether to
get it fixed at the dealer or buy a new head unit and forgo the cd changer
altogether?  Current head unit seems to be ok, the changer is bad.  Does the
dealer even fix these things, or do they send them ...

Today, after I refilled the tank of my Z3 coup?, the OBC didn't display the
correct "Distance to empty". It kept displaying the range before refill (68
km). The fuel gauge is OK. The fuel consumption indication is correct.
After refill, I drove 30 km, the range increased from 68 to ...

Just seen my first 'one series' on the road.
Initial impression are poor, doesn't look anything like a quality car, just
another run of the mill eurobox.
BMW are going to seriously damage there identity the way they are going in

I have a 2000 540.  There is a whistling sound coming from the climate
control system somewhere in the air vents.  (It is not a wind noise.)
Obviously an air leak somewhere that I can't locate and am afraid I would
have to take the entire dash out to fix.  I am hoping I am missing ...

I have a couple of mid 90's BMW 3 series whose window weatherstripping is
binding and squealing a bit.  What's the right product for lubricating these?
I'm pretty sure any petroleum-based lube or silicone is going to smear on the
glass.  Is graphite appropriate, or is it harder than ...

Can anyone recommend a supplier for these in the UK?

thinking of buying some second hand alloys for a late e34 (1994).
they're 'genuine metric alloys'. the question is, are these going to

I have a Sept 2002 320 sport saloon (E46, l think - does anybody know how
these numbers are allocated?).  Can anybody tell me if the Air Con needs to
be run through winter.  I have heard stories ranging from you have to run it
at least 5 mins a week, to you do not have to run it all ...

from time to time i seem to lose or stuck in 2nd gear.
or sometime when accelerating from a stop, the car does not want to move.
feel like someone is engaging the brakes at the same time.
the brakes are definitely not binding.
