| Sunroof won't close | 03 Sep 2004 22:01 GMT | 2 |
I've just replaced the fusible link in my '91 M5. Now, attempting to close the opened S/R I hear clicks, as if a solonoid is firing, but no movement as I move the switch. I've checked both fuseboxes but can find no fuse consumer labeled "Sunroof". Central locking and windows work ...

My son recently acquired a '91 M5. The seller (his boss) knocked $3000 off the original asking because the dash went dead. I was sure you could get a totally new dash for much less than that, but after reading posts here, and reviewing a number of user/owner sites such as

I just got word today that another group of E46 M3s are being recalled for the engine rod bearings. My car fell outside the initial recall, but is included in this. If your VIN is affected, you will presumably receive a letter from BMWNA. I was notified by my dealer who looked up ...

I have heard from our BMW dealer that BMW measures HP at the rear wheels but the Japanese measure it at the crank. Any comments on this? How does one compare them?

| sooty exhaust 318i | 02 Sep 2004 22:48 GMT | 1 |
Sorry about the stupid email address - sick of getting spammed (real address at the end - just remove the words HATE and SPAM). My wife's '98 318i has started to puff a slight cloud of smoke when it's first started (and as she takes off down the road in the morning) and

Anybody know where I could get a 2002 5 series sales brochure? Just sold my 3 series on ebay and bought a cpo 540iA and would like the original book showing all options, packages, etc. I keep finding stuff that the dealer didn't even know about (aren't they wonderful?)

| E36 power windows stop 2/3 of the way up | 02 Sep 2004 11:04 GMT | 3 |
My driver side window seems to have problems going up fully with the door closed (no problem when it's open). I have tried putting silicon on the rubber around the door seals where the window makes a contact to no avail. Once the window is past this 'black spot', around 2/3 of
