I could use some help. The Temp Gauge on my 1985 528E stopped working. I
know it's the dash gauge that the problem. The dealer wants $172.00 for a
new gauge so I bought a after market one for $29.00. My problem is I can't
find any where to install the sending unit.

Just bought what I thought would be the removeable panel to close off
the space where the jack is stored on my E28. But it's actually a piece
of carpet designed to be stuck to the outside sheet metal and to line
the jack compartment!

Any recommendations for getting my BMW serviced in Austin, TX? I am
not really interested in paying the dealership $180 to get my wheels
aligned. I don't care if they use lasers.

Finally had a look around the E28 to diagnose the violent brake shudder.
I knew the previous owner replaced the discs, centre drag link, tie rods
and "some bushings" in his quest.
It seems his mechanic had trouble removing the screw that holds the disc

I have a 97 BMW E39 with original BMW car alarm system.
Never had any problems with this until today.
Now, every time I START the engine the alarm goes off!
The alarm continues for about 30 seconds and then everything is OK.

It was suggested i change the microfilter, can anyone tell me where i find
it and how it is changed.

I have a 2000 328i.  I have owned it for about a year and have
replaced the headlights three times.
Occasionally I get a warning light that states my headlights are out,
but the lamps are fine.  I have also lost a couple tailights.

I have an '88 318i (UK spec, right-hand drive, lives in the UK) with some
kind of alternator/electrical fault.
A few weeks ago, the thing died late at night on a dark road. RAC turned
out, diagnosed a blown alternator regulator and towed me home. Garage
