I have closed EGR valve on my 318 td 1995 common rail 115 cv.....now the engine is more ready from low range with high gears and there isn't more smoke than first. Can I have some problem to the engine with EGR closed?

I have just bought a 2000 540it, and it had a built-in phone, which is now missing. BMW in Austin says that only an obsolete $400 AT&T phone will work with the system. Any ideas on putting a current technology phone in this car?

My 1997 E36 intermittently makes a beeping sound ? It seems to happen randomly and then disappears for awhile. What is causing this, is it a warning of some sort ? thanks,

I sold my merc E class and bought an used Bimer 328. I serviced the car myself and do not know how to reset the service reminder. Could anyone help? Does it got the reset sequence like merc (turn the key and press couple of buttons).
