I've googled extensively on my problems, and there seem to be many possible

bells.

Service Engine Soon??28 Oct 2004 15:45 GMT5
My 2000 BMW 3 series failed state inspection recently. The "service
engine soon" light is illuminated and the fault codes are P1250 and
P0441. It appears that the fault codes relate to the fuel cap and/or a
fuel evaporation circuit. BMW service was not able to fix it or

Things that go "Thump" in the night...28 Oct 2004 01:38 GMT1
I have a 2003 530i automatic that has a strange "thump" somewhere in
the rear.  The only recent change to the car was the installation of a
limited slip differential.  I don't believe it is related to the diff
change because it didn't occur until the diff had been in the car for

Company in Bristol (UK)?
Any other BMW specialist in the south west (Swindon to Bristol area)

E34 question27 Oct 2004 13:37 GMT11
I have a 1994 530i that I recently bought.  It's in great condition and
I have no qualms about it.  (Well, I'd rather have the CD changer in-
dash instead of in the trunk, but hey, it's still nice.)
One question I have is that there is a wiring harness that goes under
545i27 Oct 2004 04:34 GMT2
AutoWeek does a test/report on the 545 in this weeks issue and says it
remains the "king of mid-sized performance sedans". It is a "Peerless
Performer" according to them. It is "Still The Champ". And the article goes
on to accurately describe the driving experience in the car.
Z3 2.8L Query27 Oct 2004 01:04 GMT6
I've been reading various reviews, specifications for the 2.8L model in
different publications (online & in print) and there seems to be some
confusion with regard to the age (and UK Reg letter) of the very last 2.8L.
Also, "A face-lift in April '99 brought better insulation for ...

After 17 years of driving and only one speeding ticket, I've now
received two tickets in the four weeks I've had my new Z4 for doing
nine miles over the speed limit in both cases. Obviously, the Z4
doesn't have a huge amount of space in it, but I'd like to know if

What's with all the E46 M3 engine problems?26 Oct 2004 18:46 GMT17
How come all the engine problems with the M3 engine in the E46 series? I was
thinking of getting an early one now that they are hitting the $35,000 mark,
but all the recalls have me worried. I don't want to buy into a maintenance
hog - especially an expensive maintenance hog.
