Brake Lights14 Oct 2004 19:18 GMT15
My lights are on indicating I need new pads for my 2002 325xi with 40K
miles.
Do I need to go to the dealer to have new pads on AND the light off?  Seems
like quite a scam!
New BMW 3-series (E90) vs. Old BMW 3-series14 Oct 2004 17:41 GMT6
I see from one of the historical links, it looks like the official
pictures for the new BMW 3-series are out already...

Is there a good way to raise a power window manually? 1995 325is14 Oct 2004 16:03 GMT4
The drivers side power window motor recently went out on my 1995 325is
leaving the window 2/3 open.  Is there a safe way to force the window up?
I've pulled off the door panel and see plenty of places to pry.  I'd like to
get the window up without destroying anything in the ...
Warranty question14 Oct 2004 15:58 GMT8
Looking at a '02 5series on ebay with 23,000 miles.  Was listed as no
warranty, but a clear title, so I asked the seller about the remainder of
factory warranty.
He claims that it was rear ended by a motorcycle, and an airbag went off (?)
New Brakes Grinding....HELP!!!14 Oct 2004 14:12 GMT5
Have a 99 altima (sorry, but the nissan group wasn't any help...seems like a
universal problem), about 6 months ago I replaced my front rotors and pads
(raybestos, chinese made), and for some reason, since day 1, when I applied
the brakes I heard this grinding (Grrrrrrrrrr) sound ...
FUNZIONE TV14 Oct 2004 11:30 GMT3
Sulla nuova serie 5 qualcuno ha gi? provato a eliminare la disattivazione
della funzione TV con l'auto in movimento?
325i vs G3514 Oct 2004 03:01 GMT4
Both of these cars are about 33k new with the sports package.  I
really like the quality and looks of the bimmer but am feeling some
"buyers remorse" when considering purchasing it.   The G35 is 280
horse with 270 lb of torque for the same price as the 325i which is
Water in E39 back footwells13 Oct 2004 23:36 GMT8
The bottom of each back passenger footwell recently became wet (and
smelly).  The right side is sodden, and the left side is wet.  There's
no water or trace of dampness that I can find in the front footwells.
The A/C condensate drain appears to be draining OK.  There's no sign
deposit on rocker clips?13 Oct 2004 20:38 GMT21
I've just changed the tappet cover gasket on my 1986 525e;
I noticed that the clips that go over each rocker arm
(flimsy looking metal thing) each seemed to have a
light-coloured deposit (creamy).

The dreaded missing pixels13 Oct 2004 02:20 GMT3
Well, one of the E39 diseases has infected my '03 530i.  The dash display
has several lines of missing pixels in the trip odometer and OBC displays.
I know this is not uncommon and I will probably replace the thing under
warrantee.  (If it happens outside of warrantee, there's a ...
Wierd Noise Then All Warning Lights Came On13 Oct 2004 02:13 GMT4
Regarding 1988 325i Convertible.  The last couple of days the car was making a
weird whining (?) noise upon accereration.  The noise stopped at cruising
speed.  Then this morning the noise stopped and all the warning lights except
the oil light came on and the temp guage went red.  ...

I removed the cover held by 3 or 4 clips and pulled out the filter approx
600mm long.  Have i got the right thing?

BMW 1 series sales figures for Sept. '0412 Oct 2004 12:59 GMT8
Well, the numbers are just in. In its first month on the market
(September 2004) the 1 series sold better than the 3 series
here in the Netherlands. The 1 is overall the 25th most sold car
for that month ahead of for instance the Toyota Corolla, the
Problems starting engine..12 Oct 2004 09:59 GMT6
I was hoping that a BMW guru could point me in the right direction. My 1989
525i is experiencing a very strange problem. Most of the time it starts
normally. Sometimes when I turn the key it just spins the engine over and
does not fire. If I wait a few seconds and try it again it ...
