"TRANS PROGRAM" on E34 w/ 237K03 Nov 2004 19:51 GMT5

on occasionally over the years - always a quick reset.
This time its different.  The trans shift to limp mode and will not stay

Changing Clock?03 Nov 2004 18:37 GMT4
Thanks to getting a second hand E46 330d without a radio manual, I can't
work out how to reset the clock. Thanks to clocks going back I now need to
change them. The car has the RDS Business radio/cassette plus CD changer.
Anyone?
Reverse parking sensors03 Nov 2004 16:37 GMT19
For the sake of argument, say that I wanted to install aftermarket reverse
parking sensors to an entry level new 3 or 5 series model. How would it be
wired?
A 'normal' car would be easy. Just scotchlock a cable into the reverse light

I have 1992 525i and the drivers side door will not work from the inside of

E28 - lowering suspension on M535i to M5 level - how much?02 Nov 2004 18:16 GMT8
I want to lower my E28 M535i's suspension to the same level as a stock
standard E28 M5 was. The main reason for doing so is because the dampers in
my M535i are seized solid and need to be replaced regardless seeing as how
they're now 18 years old.
Replacement battery for '94 E36 325ic02 Nov 2004 17:54 GMT4
I've done a Google search, but not gotten the answer. I'm looking for
the proper battery for an E36 convertible, which I understand takes a
different battery than the other models. Interstate lists an MTP-91,
but is this not acceptable for the convertible? Can someone shed a bit

I have a 2000 528i
Under the hood there are two air filters inside black casings. How often do
they need to be changed, and should you change them or can they be washed?

Snow Tires for a '98 740iL01 Nov 2004 15:50 GMT2
I currently have Michelin MXV4 235/60 R 16 tires on the 1998 740iL.
I've always used them as year round tires with so so results in the
winter. Having put on snows on my '01 530 SP with great results, I was
wondering if the snows were as needed on the 740 as they are on the
Low coolant level -- what potential damage to engine?01 Nov 2004 14:28 GMT9
All,
I bought a very nice used 2000 BMW 328i a few days back and have been
very happy so far.  After a few days I was driving in city conditions
(stop/go/idle a lot) and noticed some steam coming from under the hood
Adding oil/water gauges to an E3601 Nov 2004 10:47 GMT7
I'm considering adding a set of gauges to my 1999 M3 and have a couple
questions.
1) The three in one sets that I've seen are all oil pressure, water
temperature and volts.  I'd prefer (and would think would be more
To Register European Specs BMW in the U.S.01 Nov 2004 06:29 GMT4
I was wondering if anybody would know if it is possible to register a

However, I won't be able to spend major money on a conversion. I have
