My 535i will have the tach fail, and the inspection light come on
intermitently.
Car runs fine and does not stumble when this occurs, and corrects itself in
just a moment or two.

My recently purchased '96 328i has  52k KMS on the clock.
According to the logs, it has only had 1 inspection 1 carried out so

As the first snows of autumn hit the English midlands this evening my '95

Computer says about 5K until service. Is this anything to be concerned about?

This light came on 200 miles ago.  I checked
the gas cap and it was a bit loose.  Filled
the gas, made sure the cap was tight.  Light
has stayed on for another 150 miles.

It has done 112K miles and although the service history is complete
there is no mention of the front bushes being replaced.It is a 1998
motor and it is not steering as well as it should, in fact it is
decidedly wooly. What is a reasonable price to pay to have one or both

I am thinking of buying a used 328i, and I was curious if that was the year
that had the "too light" power steering system that was later recalibrated.
If that is they year with the 'bad' steering just how much difference is
there between the typical 3 series feel and the 1999?
