Does anyone know a fix a very dim radio display without changing the whole unit? The radio is the standard U.S. Alpine-built cassette unit(with trunk CD controller and WX band)in cars from 1996 until the end of e36 cars. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!

On the M20 based B27 eta engine/auto gearbox combination, is there a "recess" in the end of the crankshaft for a spigot bearing?? I'm converting my E28 525e from auto to manual over christmas and would like to confirn this >small< but important detail.

2002 X5. In the rear left trunk where the CD changer goes is a plug (not the 2 and 6 pin CD changer plugs) similar to a female RS 232 or parallel printer cable. I didn't count the number if pins. Is this plug possibly for the NAV unit? If not, what?
