e36 brake pedal resistance begins in diff points15 Dec 2004 18:12 GMT6
Car is an 1994 e36 325tds.
If i press the brake pedal slightly then let go and imediately press it
again, the point were the resistance begins is a lot higher on the second
press than on the first.

I replaced front pads and rotors today on the 1993 740i (116K).  Job went
very smoothly.  The pads were down to about only 10% meat left.
The brake pedal has been very spongy lately and the pedal travel is almost
to the floor before you get any bite.

I am starting to notice on decelleration a vibration in a narrow speed range
between 25 and 40 mph. I am also noticing slight movement in the gear shfter

First test: FAILED NOx [actual=3.4829(gpm)cutpoint=2.8000(gpm)].
So I changed oil and oil filter,spark plugs and air filter. Ran a full
tank of gas with a bottle of Guaranteed to Pass and put a bottle of

The steering lock on my 523 has stopped enaging after the ignition key has
been removed. Has anyone experienced a similar problem and what was the
solution?

I have a 328i Coupe with a gougling grinding/grating worn bearing sound
coming from the what I believe to be the water pump, lower left hand side of
the block near the belts.
I've heard that if this plastic impeller goes then it can ruin the engine.
