rubber coupling between trans / driveshaft05 Jan 2005 09:43 GMT14
I have a deteriorating rubber coupling that connects the tranny to the
driveshaft on a 93  325i. I've purchased the replacement part (ouch, $140
from dealer) but I'm wondering how simple / difficult this replacement will
be. Looks simple but in the Haynes manual, it talks about ...

On my 1984 325e, the AC tension pulley is set too and keeps getting banged
with the speed bumps and parking limits.  Has anyone ever encounter this
problem?  If so, what was done to resolve the issue?
How to remove wax from black plastic parts04 Jan 2005 20:10 GMT1
First of all: Happy New Year!!!
After reading some posts on waxing, here's my small contribution: the best
way I know to remove wax from black plastic parts is to scrub them with a
toothbrush with pure car shampoo.

1983 325i general info?04 Jan 2005 18:43 GMT7
Friend told me tonight that HIS friend who hobby-restores BMWs might
have "the perfect car" for me. It's a 1983 BMW 325i, which I take it is
one of the smaller models. It will take a couple of months for the
restoration; apparently the price will be between $2500 (mechanically
BMW does not care for its prototypes!04 Jan 2005 15:12 GMT18
maybe you remember, some weeks ago I wrote about my first close encounter
wit the new E90. I saw one parked in a street in the southern city area of
Munich. I was astonished to see this car, slightly camouflaged (some black
tape to cover up the true proportions, fake position ...
Still got wiper probs on '98 E3904 Jan 2005 02:51 GMT1
Still got problems with these bloody wipers...
Changed the relay K11 (only one relay on '98 model, not 2 as in earlier
models) - is this the only relay in the wiper circuit ?
Checked the wiper mechanism and it seems OK, moved freely manually.

Hey gang,
I had the oil changed on my 93 740i this week.  Never leaked a drop.  My

Not been under yet, but would you assume that someone didn't replace that

BMW 525i Jump Start Damage03 Jan 2005 21:59 GMT3
I used my 86 BMW 525I to jump start another car and connected the
jumper leads in reversed polarity! (silly me thought a black wire was
negative in all parts of the world). The BMW now starts but will not
idle at any speeds. On starting it fires up ok but then dies and I

Tuning parts for 330i petrol 2003.03 Jan 2005 16:53 GMT14
I have a Dec 2003 BMW 330I petrol saloon. I was wanting to know if there
were any tuning parts available for this car, air filters chips ETC ? I have
looked through the BMW magazines available in the UK but everything seems
geared up for either older cars or diesels.
FS: OEM BMW Parts Catalogs03 Jan 2005 14:30 GMT1

Depending on the model and year, they are on microfiche or CD-ROM.  I ship
worldwide (I charge actual shipping cost as computed by the ...
Angel eyes - fitting clips??03 Jan 2005 12:06 GMT8
Hi to all, just been given an angel eyes kit at Christmas. Looking through
the contents there's no clips supplied to fit the rings into the headlights.
If anyone has fitted a set of these, what did you use to actually locate the
rings in the headlights?
