What is the plastic engine covering called?

Need to get the front struts replaced in my 97 328i.  How much does this
mess up wheel alignment - particularily Castor and Camber, since they
are not adjustable once the struts are mounted?
I've been getting absolutely "perfect" tire wear across the front - sure

It is my experience that noise sources in cars can be notoriously hard
to locate.  In the past, I would swear that a noise was coming from
one place, to later discover it was coming from somewhere else
entirely.

When I remove the volume button, the only thing I see is a clear round
plastic cover of a circuit of some-kind, and right above the button spike,
there is a small hole (about 3 or 4 mm wide) with a vertical groove (sorry
if my English isn't so good as I wish!) I've already inserted ...

cheap, but solid box. It looks like many that you see. Nothing special. My
car doesn't have a pass through but both seats can fold ...

Does anyone know if the stock 2000 e39 M5 (left) exhaust is a compatible
fit for my 2000 e39 540i sport? I have the M-tech rear bumper on as well?
Would I have to widen the single exhaust outlet for the duel if so?

Yesterday in 18oF weather, my '99 328i started instantly but ran roughly on
only 3 or 4 cylinders for about 10 miles.  After that, everything was fine &
the check engine light has since gone out.  Anyone have any thoughts?  TIA

I was just at my friendly neighbourhood Costco and saw a sign advertising
that they can fill your tires with nitrogen instead of ordinary air.  This
is something I've never heard of, though if the idea has trickled down to
Costco it must have been around for a while.

I have a 99 323is. When I use the fob to unlock the doors, the
passenger side door, trunk, and gas tank door unlock, but the driver
side does not. The same when I use the key in the passenger side door
lock. But, if I use the key to open the driver side door, all the locks

I'm trying to decide among these cars.  Any help will be appreciated.
Below are my thoughts so far (after test driving all three at least
twice).  Any other cards I should consider?
All three I'm only considering only in manual transmission.

My 1995 530i has the normal 'check control' system on the dash, which should
give me messages etc, but it doesn't seem to do anything. Could it have been
disconnected in some way? or is it possibly faulty?

I've just bought myself a 1995 530i auto, but the owners manual is missing.
Is there anywhere I can download one, or buy one? I'm trying to work out how
to use the computer.

The upcoming 2006 Lexus GS looks much nicer than past models-- and with
better reliablity, luxury and technology, I am seriously considering it as a
replacement to my 325.
