Any recommendation for replacement of my stock Continentals?

I'm looking to move up to a V8 from my current Volvo T5 (240hp). I am
considering the following cars:
BMW 535i V8, 540i V8 (4.0) and 540i V8 (4.4)
BMW 740i V8 (4.0 & 4.4), 750i (V12)

1993 BMW 325i Automatic Transmission
I am using 91 Octane gas (Best I can find in Southern CA) and am getting
knocking and pinging when the car shifts into the next gear or under load.
It seems to go away with higher revs, but where I live higher revs are not

considering a 98 525.  excel shape.with 92k miles for 13.6k US.  I currently

Lately my 540i Six Speed has been stalling both at idle and while in top
gear on the highway!  I manage to restart but it runs very rough then
smooths out but will eventuall need a restart soon thereafter.  Sounds like

Hi, I have a 1990 525i with a flat battery. I have tried unsuccessfully to
unlock it by lifting the handle etc.
Is there a way to release the bonnet from the outside?

Seems that UK spec cars built after the mid-87 face lift have 1" thick
side impact bars, earlier ones don't. They also seem to be pre-wired for
tweeters.
