I recently visited the UK and noticed a number of E39 police cars in

deleted.  Having travled elsewhere in Europe I am familiar with the

E46 mirror defrost04 Feb 2005 17:51 GMT11
My E46 driver's side mirror is not defrosting, passenger side works fine.
Could the wiring connection be at fault or ???.  Of course, warranty does
not cover mirrors.  Where should I start regarding trying to find the
problem?  Anyone encountered this problem before?

Just idle curiosity.
Both engines are the same size. Presumably mechanically very similar.
Why the big difference in output?
Mike.
90 325i- 6 button OBC question..04 Feb 2005 14:24 GMT3
OBC, fancy clock, whatever the base model unit is called.
Can it be set to display F temps and not C?  Ditto 12 hour and not 24
hour clock?  I see plenty of info on the 13 button and other OBC's, but
not the plane jane model.  I have no owners manual obviously..
How useful are headlight wipers?04 Feb 2005 12:05 GMT10
How good are headlight washers/wipers at keeping the headlights clean?
My winter car, a '86 BMW E30, had wipers until one of the previous
owners removed them. The wiper motors and nozzles are still there but
not connected (see picture). I've thought about getting wipers and wiper ...

Need help with key not working on my 2001 33003 Feb 2005 23:34 GMT3
I am having issues with arming / disarming my 330.
The dealership said that there is a BMW letter indicating that if I do not
drive more than 15 minutes, the key does not have time to charge.
I drive to work for 5-10 mintes everyday, so BMW and my dealership have told

Just pulled the code on my son's '96 318ti and it comes up P1174, which

Seems to run fine, although overheating, which it's being shopped for
