325xi Flashing Mirror Light w/o Alarm?05 Apr 2005 11:44 GMT3
I have a new 325xi w/o the factory installed Alarm option but the red light
underneath the mirror mount still flashes when the car is locked. What
exactly does this blinking light mean? Is the car protected or disabled in
*any* way?
Long-term Reliability of 3-series05 Apr 2005 10:34 GMT3
I'm debating whether to sell or keep my (2000) 328 sedan,  which has almost
99,000 miles on the odometer.
I'm the original owner, and the car has been relatively trouble-free.
I've had to replace an oxygen-sensor, as well as belts and steering
E39 vibration, please help.05 Apr 2005 09:58 GMT35
Hi, all. My 1999 523iSE saloon has an annoying vibration at between 63 and
80 mph (sorry, not sure of speeds in km's, 95 - 135 ?) This vibration is not
dependant on road surface, rate of acceleration getting there, gear, rpm etc
etc, in fact it seems to have a mind of it's own and ...
Another Disappointing BMW Dealer05 Apr 2005 09:26 GMT23
I recently took my car to a BMW main dealer for a brake fluid change and
a new window regulator and I had asked them to have a quick look at the
front brakes while it was in as I was getting a shimmy.
They called and said it needed new front discs and pads and I asked for
Dashboard display question04 Apr 2005 21:07 GMT5
I have 94 E34 that was manufactured in 5/93 and runs wonderfully.  But
you know what happens when you see a newer one and it has features that
you didn't know were available.  My dad just bought the same car but it
was manufactured in 1/94.  The display on his dashboard is a bit ...
e28 econometer question04 Apr 2005 17:51 GMT1
Lately I've noticed that the econometer appears to be sticking, and
sometimes it does not move at all when the engine has been turned on.
Usually it moves about a fair bit reflecting the load conditions - throttle
position, whether accelerating, going uphill, etc - at the time.  ...
Oil Change Indicator and Multi Function Computer Interpretation - 2002 330i04 Apr 2005 17:13 GMT5
I just purchased a beautiful steel grey on black 2002 330i last month.
I have since put about 2000 miles on it.
I am a little concerned about the service interval indicator, ive
noticed a couple of things and want to make sure it is normal:
2003 320 Ci - dash buttons don't work04 Apr 2005 17:11 GMT2
Both buttons on the dash of my 2003 320 Ci don't work. Just bought the car -
not something you think to check really.
I think the left one should reset the trip mileage, and the right one should
give the service and brake fluid interval. The right one does change the
E39 Brake Pad/Lining Light04 Apr 2005 17:03 GMT2
I have a 2000 528i and just a few weeks ago the brake pad/lining indicator
light appeared so my buddy and I replaced the front brake pads.
After the brake pads were replaced the indicator light still appears and I
am guessing it has to be reset.
Me too! (Another disappointing BMW dealer)04 Apr 2005 16:37 GMT4
I rarely go to dealerships for service as I do most service
and repairs myself.  However, the cat. converter on my 7 year-
old car recently went south (made lots of noise) and, since
I was barely squeaking inside the 8-year-or-80k-warranty on that
1980 633csi Cruise control problem04 Apr 2005 11:13 GMT1
Anyone out there have a schematic for the cruise control for the 1980
633csi?  It's the only thing that is presently inoperative on my car.
This 633csi has the cruise controller built into the turn
signal/headlight control lever.  Thanks in advance, Fred..
BMW 320D E46 04 Apr 2005 08:27 GMT1
I am the owner of a 5 months old BMW 320d E46 with manual gear box. I notice
a slight problem when doing low revs and then accelerating
When I drive at 1800 revs and acceleratate to 2000revs or more I feel a
slight hesitation, you can compare the feeling with the feeling you have
545 Sport Package03 Apr 2005 12:46 GMT7
I am contemplating the purchase of a 545, but I am unsure if I should get
the Sports Package even though I would like to get it.  My concern is the
larger rims and the low profile tires.  I live on the east coast, therefore,
will I definitely need to change the tires for the ...

The thing is Ballistic!! The videos are about 50- 60 mB but well worth the
AC light always on?03 Apr 2005 08:57 GMT1
I recently had the climate control replaced in our 97 528.  Although it was
working before it was replaced, the display did not work.
Now that it's replaced it seems to work fine.  However, in Automatic Mode
the AC light is always on.  To turn the AC off you must take it out of
