Hi all --

so my wife drove into a station and filled up the tank.  When she
started the car up again, the needle on the fuel guage went to its
E30 Value25 Apr 2005 16:26 GMT6
I walked away from a 1986 E30 325e today.  I won't say what the owner
wanted.
It's not running very well but there are no bad engine sounds (even with
a stethescope).  The car needs exhaust work, a steering rack (both boots

Will E46 wheels fit on an E36? I bought the wife (she hates
being called that, by the way) a 95 325i convertible (E36).
Can I put a set of  stock wheels and tires from my E46
(330xi) on this car? We both hate the E36 wheels and we

From 7 series to X5 ??24 Apr 2005 17:21 GMT5
I have owned 2 BMW 740s, and lately a 745Li.
I am thinking of moving to an X5. All of them seem very thirsty by
comparison to my 7 series, with the exception of the 3.0d. However, I'm
going for a test drive in one tomorrow hopefully.
Getting Ready to Sell my 2000 740i SPORT24 Apr 2005 15:34 GMT2
A move precipitates the sale of my prized SPORT package 740i.  Silver
on Black, this 2000 year model has 65k miles on it.  It's never been
wrecked and is in very good condition.  Within the last year I have put
new tires on it, installed a new battery and have the Level II service
Cold engine max REV24 Apr 2005 13:39 GMT5
Everyone know that when a engine (oil temp) is cold we should not take
it to high revs as the oil is still thick and doesn't do it job right.

E30 rear seat removal24 Apr 2005 09:27 GMT5
My wife's just bought new seat covers for her 1987 320i.  I need to remove
the rear seat to be able to fit the seat cover, but I don't have any idea
how to remove the seat.
The car's users manual is in the glove compartment which has been stuck
1988 325i possibly fuel pump related issue23 Apr 2005 11:56 GMT14
My '88 325i cranks but would not start. Fuse #11 is good. I am
investigating the fuel pump system, removed the fuel pump relay and
measured the voltage between the socket coresponding to terminal 30 of
the relay and ground - it is battery voltage. Then I measured the

I live in Maine.
I'm planning on purchasing either a new 530ix or 545.
I'll be purchasing it for European delivery.  From Europe, I want it
shipped back not to my home in Maine, but to California so I can drive

A year and a half ago I became a BMW owner for the first time purchasing a
pre-owned 2000 E39.
My first heart attack nearly came the first time it was due for service and
I took it to the local BMW dealership. The cost for an oil change in my

Now that the new Pope is Bavarian, maybe BMW should come up with a new
