For $15k to $20k (US) it's possible to buy a very nice E30 M3 or E34 M5. Just curious how these compare with regards to cost to maintain. I'm thinking particularly about the engine, but am aware that there are other parts that are specific to these cars as opposed to a regular E30 ...

My 328i 1995 model is due for a service. What would need to be checked/replaced apart from plugs, oil & filter? All previous services has been done by a BMW dealership. It has now done 142,000 km and has been serviced every 12 - 13,000 km.

My left turn indicator (1996 M3 Evo, UK) occasionally would click at a faster speed. Is this some sort of a warning for an incipient bulb failure or something like that? Thanks for your help. Vijay

I've got a lady friend who has one of these....she says the manual instructs her to use mid-grade gas, which obviously costs quite a bit at the pump these days. Will her using regular unleaded present much of a problem for her car? And

The engine has been running rough at idle for a while and the tail pipes have been a little dark as though it is running a bit rich. It failed the smog test on NO. I will be changing the plugs tomorrow and starting the check of the

Just took my 1993 325IS to the gas station and can't get the door to the fuel tank opened. I've been going through a Chiltons manual and can't find anything. Ibeliev it's connected to the car electronics but not sure. If so, is there any type of manual bypass?

I borrowed this from a Bimmer E46 M3 web site: The M3 sits on 18-inch M-style alloy wheels (8.0-inch wide front and 9.0-inch wide rear), with appropriately sized high-performance tires (225/45 ZR - 18 front and 255/40 ZR -18 rear).
