I know all Beemers have an "E" #, and I know mine's E36, but I don't know
all the others.
What's the 3 series after the 36 for instance?

New six cylinder engines have no dipstick30 May 2005 19:40 GMT45
OK, maybe I'm slow on the uptake. But I've only just realised the new
sixes have no dipstick! I'm GUESSING they just have an idiot light or
MID error message for low oil level. When that comes up I suppose you
either guess how much oil to add or add a fixed amount (say a litre).
Radio30 May 2005 13:41 GMT1
Was the E34 series especially model 540i fitted with integrated Radio?

Cruise brain goes... where?30 May 2005 06:06 GMT1
I have the Bentley manual and the Cruise Control Brain/Computer
component doesn't appear to go in my 1997 M3/4 where it's shown in the
manual. In fact the item in the position that is chalked down for the
cruise box is the rear window controller (discovered in a VERY funny
How to replace front turn signal on 2001 325i?29 May 2005 20:22 GMT2
Okay, I thought this would be easy but apparently I'm a moron.  The manual
says to insert a screwdriver into the opening to remove the inner hook.  As
much as I try, I don't really see a hook.  I see a plastic piece over a
metal piece which I'm assuming is the "hook" mechanism ...
