Starting Engine After Long Storage07 Jun 2005 17:33 GMT7
I have a '97 328i that has sat, unplanned, for about a year. It has
synthetic oil from the dealer in it, but I'm worried about the effects
of the initial start-up on the engine. I thought of disconnecting the
spark plugs and turning it over a few times to get some oil
Rear Springs on an E36 saloon07 Jun 2005 17:10 GMT5
Hi, I've got an E36 saloon (1995) And I think the rear springs are
sagging as the wheel arches do seem to hang low over the rear wheels.
The drivers side seems to be worse than the passenger.
Has anyone else had experience of this? Does anyone have a way of

My 1989 750iL, will not idle smoothly when it warms up. Once warm the idle

525i Fog Lights06 Jun 2005 21:27 GMT1
My bulb just went out on my left fog light and I noticed how dark the
lenses are. Can the lenses be removed and cleaned or are they pretty much
toast at this point? Thanks!

HI everyone some help required here,
The boot light doesn't work, check bulb, fuse, which are ok. the supply
to the switch on the bootlid (assuming it's the middle of the three
spring loaded buttons)isn't live so i'm assuming that there is a
Octane question (FOr the octane Savvy)06 Jun 2005 15:16 GMT7
Ok folks I am sure this one has been beaten into the ground many times.
However, I am now on a quest. Sort of.  A friend of mine had an interesting
view to share on the topic of 87 octane vs 91 octane (low vs high) Below is
his response to my statement (which is below his).
Road and Track comparo- Hilarious06 Jun 2005 15:10 GMT13
Road and Track did a comparison of the 545iA, Infinity M45 "sport" and
Lexus GS430.  You can read it here:

I am not a huge fan of the new fivers, and I'd prefer a 6 cylinder with

Seeking tire recommendation: 2003 325xi06 Jun 2005 11:36 GMT9
I investigated things on TireRack and thought I had settled on the
Continental ContiExtreme Contact.  Then, the local Town Fare Tire guy
suggested Yokohama AS430's as an alternative (comparable cost).  Tried
investigating the AS430 on tirerack, but perhaps it's an after-market model

E46 front end06 Jun 2005 09:45 GMT3
Is it a big job to make a post 2003 E46 look the same as the original?
Detailed changes were made with ugly oriental style lights and kidney grille
replacing the elegant look.

325is  -driver's side window motor06 Jun 2005 03:41 GMT1
How difficult is it replace the motor?  The window is stuck halfway up.  I
looked in the service manual and was a little intimidated by the process
for removing the glass and adjusting it afterward.
Also:  is there a way to manually close the window?  I'd like to do that
Crappy AM Reception06 Jun 2005 03:01 GMT26
Replacement ideas for the rubber duck on the '02 version E46 convertibles?
This one's gotta go.
Or, should I just pony-up and get the Sirius option?
