I have a 1988 BMW  325ic. When I first start it in the morning it takes
about 6-8 seconds of cranking before the engine turns over and starts. If I
shut it down an restart it in a few minutes it works fine. If I leave it
off for an hour or so it takes 6-8 seconds of cranking ...

Is there anything special about headlights for this car (1998)? Do I have to
get my pocket picked at the BMW dealership or can I get one at any auto
parts store?

  I spent the better part of yesterday looking over a 93 325IS that a
friend is considering purchasing.
  The only real issue I found with it was "excessive" steering wheel play.

It is my understanding that BMW does not factory-fit fire extinguishers
to ANY of its models. They are dealer-fit only.
I understand extinguishers are not a legal requirement in some
countries (like Germany).
