328 tires for gravel and dirt roads?11 Jul 2005 01:05 GMT3
I live off a gravel road that's none too smooth, plus my driveway is
steep and twisty. Anyone have good suggestions for a brand and model of
tire that will hold up better against the tough terrain? My dealer puts
Continentals on it, but they last barely a year, if that long.

BMW 33510 Jul 2005 13:02 GMT3
The current issue of Roundel reports that BMW will, in a year or so, be
offering a 3.0 liter petrol engine with bi-turbos similar to the 3.0 diesel.
Not the twin turbo one, but the bi-turbo with dissimilar sized spinners. At
the moment I don't remember horsepower figure ...
Old car, oil filter options.09 Jul 2005 21:12 GMT2
I just bought a 1991 750iL, and while the German Mann or other brand
oil filters probably are reliable, and with high capacity for dirt,
they are still paper filters, and probably don't catch much particles
less than 20 micron in size. The new fleece/synthetic filters appears

E46 wheels and tires09 Jul 2005 12:48 GMT26
I borrowed this from a Bimmer E46 M3 web site:
The M3 sits on 18-inch M-style alloy wheels (8.0-inch wide front and
9.0-inch wide rear), with appropriately sized high-performance tires (225/45
ZR - 18 front and 255/40 ZR -18 rear).
1990 325i clock09 Jul 2005 10:29 GMT1
Clock might be wrong term. The instrument on dash to right of radio that has
6 buttons. What is this and how does it work? Sometimes it displays the time

correctly). But I can't switch between them and ...
1990 325i interior water leak09 Jul 2005 10:27 GMT3
I just bought a 1990 325i which seems to be in great shape. I've had it for
about two weeks. It finally rained here in Tacoma WA and I've noticed that
there is a leak that drips down the passenger side kick panel. This won't do
in the rainy northwest. The carpet is in excellent ...

94 740IL 'disc error'09 Jul 2005 04:35 GMT1
This morning in my 94 740IL on my way to work, the CD player read 'disc
error' and would not play any of the CDs, which are located in a 6-disc
changer in the trunk.  Took the changer out, made sure all the discs were in
place, put the changer back in and still nothing.  Any ideas?
